U know U can click right thru them right? Not loading the cinematics disc works too, but U still have to click once to the 'insert disc' prompt, so no time saved there.

I don't think it can be disabled....

You cannot click through them if they give you an error every time and crashes Diablo, hence a need to disable them.

I cannot play in a window either.

Hmmm...I'd go w/ a fresh install then - see how that works.

Windows2000 Server will not do Diablo in a window.

And yes, I have no sound...no soundcard in the machine.

I don't think the game will malfunction if you delete d2video.mpq.

How exactly do you "not install them"? and it would still read them off the CD then.

On Diablo 2 installation, I believe as long as you don't elect to install the maximum, the videos are not installed. The game will ask for the video cd, but all you'll have to do is press cancel. However, I believe the expansion video will still play since you need that CD in the drive.

...and although I thought it did, D2 apparantly doesn't have an .ini file. Otherwise you could set it to skip the videos. Bah!

It still gives me an accessviolation every time I go to a new act where the character hasn't been before...annoying.

Oh well....gotta work for those runes.
