improvements on my assassin
My pvp kicker is having some problems in pubbies. I am looking for strategies help and also help with gear selection. So far level 80,
Skills:
1 Dragon Talon (will add more when gear is more final)
1 WoF
1 in every shadow discipline (I use BoS over fade, will add more weapon block later)
Max Venom
Max Mind Blast
~32 points unassigned
Stats:
Base everything except vita
~ 200 points unassigned
Gear:
Rare circlet with +1% ar per clvl, 18 dex, 20 str, 17 all resists, some filler mods (alternatively: Shako)
Malice greater claws with +1 blade shield/Jade talon
eth Demon Limb on switch
Angelic ammy (alternatively: +1 shadow disc ammy with 10 fcr and some str)
Angelic ring/Ravenfrosh
Lionheart DS
Dracul's (alternatively: Trang's gloves, Bloodfists)
Marrowwalk
4 shadow skillers and a 101ar/30 life gc, with many +stats charms of various sizes (No torch or anni yet)
I have read all guides and all relevant topics related to the build on these forums. My questions:
1) Do good kickers really assign hard pts to str and dex? (I assume so) How many?
2) Are there any pieces of legit gear (i.e., not difficult to obtain legit means) or things I can do that I can use to quickly improve dueling results? In particular, I am having a hard time with AR (only ~7k right now).
3) What is the 100% optimum setup (your opinion) in terms of above categories? I am hesitant on things like enigma and definitely against dupes, but you have to compete right? Eventually I plan to get enigma, maybe a good crafted belt, shadow dancers, and possibly godly like 'UmUm' Fools Greater Talons of Quickness with +3 venom or something.
4) What are good dueling strategies? I generally follow the guides and dflight and talon opponents, and then use the wof+mind blast. But most of the time this seems inferior to plain kicking, since open wounds just does not get the damage done.
Please tell me anything that may be of use, and please do not flame if I have inadvertently broken some rule or missed something in a thread hidden somewhere. Sound advice is greatly appreciated.
