    Immunity Lists

    Ahoy,

I might be wasting my time, because an accessible list of the kind I'm about do describe may already exist...

My Lightning Spearazon killed Meph earlier today, and I've taken to levelling her (for the time being: level 78) in the Arcane Sanctuary. Why? Because no lightning immunes ever spawn there, so she can tear through at serious speed. Is there a list of similar areas which never spawn certain immunities? If not, could one be made? It would be very useful for any single element build.

Thanks to anyone who can help,
    30-30

Eh, I had to copy this from another place (no, not that other place, just some other place :p ) because linking to there is a nono. I'm quite certain this is correct:

    For Fire Characters:
Maggot Lair (84-85), Kurast Sewers (84-85), The Cave (77-78)

    For Cold Characters:
Mausoleum (85), Ancient Tunnels (85), Maggot Lair (84-85), Crypt (83), The Cave (77-78), Tristram (76), Forgotten Tower (75-79)

    For Poison Characters:
All Kurast Temples (85), The Hole (80-81)

    For Lightning Characters:
Kurast Sewers (84-85), Claw Viper Temple (82-83), Den of Evil (79)

    For Magic and Physical Characters:
The Pit (85), + almost all mentioned above, and even more where there were at least one immune monster for each elemental type.

Oh, and about the Arcane Sanctuary, there actually is LIs... eh, things. You know, the lightning shooting thingies :D

Edit: meh, realized the areas in act4&5 are not listed. So, please be welcome to make additions :)

You mean those lightning sphere's? I really wouldn't worry about those, I normally just run past them. Besides they're poison immune too IIRC. :)

Hmm... aren't there really no LIs in Kurast Sewers? I thought there were...

And according to the Facts & Formulae not all Kurast Temples are level 85. Some of them are 84.

Not that correct after all

Horrors can spawn in the Kurast Sewers, and they are Lightning Immune.

Only the temples at the Kurast Causeway are level 85 IIRC.

Here's a guess at areas from Acts IV and V...

    For Fire Characters:
Glacial Trail, Crystalline Passage, Frozen River, Icy Cellar.

    For Cold Characters:
The City of the Damned, Worldstone Keep Level 1 (Check me on these, I think I'm wrong.)

    For Poison Characters:
The Pit? (Act I, but I'm pretty sure about this...)

    For Lightning Characters:
Frozen Tundra (It's hard to remember which 'guests' can appear in 1.10.)

I'm pretty sure Spawners/Grotesque type monsters can spawn in the City of the dead.

One area that I personally think is great for Cold characters is Lower Kurast. There are no natural cold immune monsters there, and it's a great place to pick up gems, runes, jewels and charms. I'm doing runs there at the moment, nearing my 100th run. I intend to post the results sometime later today.

Ok, I tried to make this list more complete. I listed only the areas that are decent for MFing, rune hunting or just collecting experience

Areas marked with * spawn immunes sometimes, but most of the time they are worth the trouble imho :)

    For Fire Characters:
Mausoleum, Maggot Lair 1-3, Kurast Sewers 1-2, Durance of Hate 1-3, Crystalline Passage*, Frozen River, Glacial Trail*, Drifter Cavern*, Ancient's Way, Icy Cellar, Moo Moo Farm

    For Cold Characters:
Mausoleum, Maggot Lair, Ancient Tunnels, Travincal (council), Plains of Despair, WSK 2*

    For Poison Characters:
Mausoleum, Forgotten Tower, Pit, Flayer Jungle*, Kurast Temples, Travincal (council), Plains of Despair*, River of Flame*, Chaos Sanctuary, WSK*, Moo Moo Farm

    For Lightning Characters:
Claw Viper Temple, Arcane Sanctuary, Chaos Sanctuary, Abaddon*, Pit of Acheron, Crystalline Passage, Infernal Pit*, Moo Moo Farm

Lower Kurast is easy for cold characters, but I din't mention it because when people do runs there it usually means opening chest and ignoring monsters

Forgotten Tower is also bit tricky...lightning characters can kill Countess really easily but archers are difficult. Cold characters struggle against Countess but everything else should be easy to kill

I'm interested here, since I have a Poisonmancer on his way: just how effective are they in the Moo Moo Farm? I figure the 2 seconds needed to kill with Poison Nova make them a little slow. (Although, on second thought, any points in revive will make it very safe.)

probably pretty fast in good gear. You'd only need to drop 1-2 to finish off a pack with CE.
I remember 1.09 necro's in hell cows. pwnage

    As corax said :)

When you run cows with venomancer, you only kill few cows with poison and CE the rest. Against really large crowds (like cows), CE is stronger than PNova, even if you had top end venomancer gear. I have tried running cows with Bonemancer too, and even then it was all about Amp+CE
