Image hosting websites

Sometimes if the image is hit a lot they'll stop serving it so if you want to embed the image in a post you can just embed it and it uploads it here so it won't ever been removed. Just hit the 'insert image' button and upload from your computer, no need to get it hosted anywhere first. If it's to post elsewhere try imgur.com, they don't require registration and I believe they do not restrict the number of views either.

Might be good to try imgur.com. you need to make an account, but I don't think you'll run into too many hits blocking it out or anything. Plus it has a handy chrome extension that let's you drag and drop images to upload them.

+1 for Imgur

Imgur does not require registration to upload images. Also you can already drag and drop images right on their home page (or if you have taken a screen shot, just press ctrl-v).

That doesn't work for me BTW. When pressing "insert image", I'm asked to enter a URL into a text field, there's no button for a file dialog or so.

Perhaps it's just something with the special "trading moderator" user group I'm in, however.

When you hit "Insert Image," it comes up with "From URL" by default. There are two tabs in that window, one of which is "From Computer." You need to swap to the first Tab.

Are you sure you're hitting "Insert Image" and not one of the other icons? I don't know, but it works fine for me. :scratchhead: Maybe a screenshot of the button you're using, just to make sure?

I'm pretty sure that I'm hitting the right button. It says "insert image" when moving the mouse cursor over it. It has the same design as shown in Elly's picture, just without the tabs and showing the text "add an image from url".

As said, I'm in a custom-made vBulletin user group because trading moderators receive extra notification emails about itrader ratings. It's probably something with that.

I'm using the latest version of Firefox (v29).
