Diablo IV, Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 Forums - Diabloii.Net

I put this up today in the blizzard classic games forum, hopefully more people open up their eyes and know that Blizzard doesn't care about D2 anymore.

EDIT:

Some people have misunderstood my words when I said "They are all about money", in the battle net post. Here is some clarification before you post anything here in the SPF:

---
A "good" game company is one that not only knows how to make money, but also one that acknowledges the existence of their fans and their desires, and when needed, they make decisions not -solely- based on money, but also based on the respect and the image that they want their -user base- to have of them. That's exactly what I meant in my original post. Making money is not an issue, but if you want to gain and retain respect from your fans, you can't just base it on money.
---

I'm not expecting nor want Blizzard to keep supporting a 14 year old, they aren't doing it properly anyways. What I do want is for them to End of Life the product officially and simply -out of respect- let the community know that they are done with it. Deprecating the product means that they can make the following decisions which all lead to good endings (In my view):

- End of Life the game and that's the end of it. No further support.
- End of Life the game and give individuals permission to host their own private servers, creating a decentralized network of servers over the internet, and people can use those to play any version they want (Well 1.07 + since there are no pre-1.07 private servers).

At the moment, those are the only two routes I see but at least people in the battle.net community can stop complaining to Blizzard about this game expecting them to do something.

I hope that clarifies what I meant in my original post.
