I'm new.

Hey guys, just thought I'd drop by and say hi to everyone. I used to post here pretty frequently, some of you may remember me as 'London'?

Reguardless, I'm back. How are you guys doin'?

Long time, no see. No car troubles, I hope?
Na, still runnin' strong after I got that new motor in. Work is great (I'm there right now), although have girl problems (as usual).

Aren't you famous for girl issues or stories? I seem to recall a lot of references to "London's girls" or something in the last few months since you've been gone.

Anyway, welcome back!

Hey, welcome back. Weren't you Mr. Civic? What engine did you put in?
Yes, I was 'Mr.Civic'. I ended up putting a b18c in it (JDM GS-R motor).

Yup, that would be me :D.. I would like to hear these stories people have been telling about me. It's still that way, I currently have a girlfriend, but things aren't working out well. There is this other girl who I work with, we went out to lunch on Sunday, I think she's into me.

Awesome! My friend and I just finished putting a B18C1 in a 96 Civic two door. And scissor doors! I'll have to post some pics after we clean it up a bit this weekend.

We read 156 at the wheels on the dyno. And the best part is, as far as insurance is concerned, it's just a Honda Civic DX :)

Awesome! I'm not one much for mods like 'Lambo doors'. I'm more into the JDM look, I have a lot of JDM parts on my car. I'm planning on getting new wheels soon. My car is doing 186 from the last time I dynoed it (4 months ago) so it's probably changed from the last time I dynoed.

Did you have any problems with the swap at all?

If I'm not mistaken this is the second time you're coming back in the last few months?
Yeah, I came back a couple months ago for about a week, a lot of stuff came up around that time so I had to deal with that.

Be careful with that. If you get into a wreck and need insurance to pay, and they open it up and see a b18 in there, you're gonna be screwed for not notifying the insurance company of the engine swap. I know a few guys who had that problem, it's not fun.

Definitely, everything on my Civic is insured, and I mean EVERYTHING. I pay out the ass for it, but I have another car that I use for a daily driver. The Civic is more of a weekend car if you will.

Word filter isn't working, so I fixed you.

Might I ask why you didn't just come back as London? I am just curious. Or did you say why already, and I just didn't read very carefully?

My mistake on the bad word, it won't happen again. Either I thought to myself that I did post why I didn't come back as London, or I just forgot.

Either way, I tried logging in as London, but either I forgot the password, or it got deleted. So I started this new account.

Yes, I did have problems with the swap! We were converting OBD1 to OBD2, and I made the wiring harness wrong... twice. Also, we were not working in a "professional" envorinment, so the car now has a bunch of scuffs, a few little dents, and some scrapes from taking the hood/fenders/etc. off, so we have a little cosmetic work to do. Working in a barn! Also the ECU we got on ebay was very very wrong. At first, the car started, but it sounded like it was running on two cylinders, it was very bad. And loud because we hadn't connected any exhaust yet. But we've since got all those little things worked out. The rear suspension still has to go on, hopefully that will happen this weekend, then we'll get to drive it. (it looks really dumb with only the front suspension on).

How do you like the car? Is it quick? :)
