If all gear was allowed...

...what would be the best class to kill everyone else?

I'm looking specifically at hardcore. All the time in a game you'll get a jerk coming in and hostiling everyone, calling people out, etc. I can't duel them with my MF characters, so I'd like to build a character specifically to kill some of these guys.

If you want something that'll "teach the jerks a lesson", a smiter with Grief and Exile is what I'd use.

bva/bvc with full absorb setups abusing fade, chant, doom, and grief.

edit: actually.. smite/charger abusing grief/exile is easier to play then that barb. less likely to get you killed not having previous experience with the class.

Nope, best BM char is a ham. Always have max block, max DR, 16 rejuvs, > 200% over max res in whatever difficulty you play, and a bo/shout barb to boost you.

A bvc is one of the best, GM. But in BM nothing really comes close to a hammer. You can freeze zons, kill most barbs really easily, stack minions to deal with certain chars, juv, desynch, tank.. etc.

And a smiter with grief/exile is terrible at BMing. Get a Doom, and most of the smiters won't really do much after that.

He's right. Hammerdin with 125% fcr, mega res stack, max block, rejuvs, max dr, high fhr, gg lifer charms are simply impossible to own.

There are chars that can easy kill such dins in gm, but they sacrifice so much dmg for tankage that they have more than plenty time to go kiss akara vs. any opponents.
