idea for a new build based on bug exploits

I've been reading alot of builds recently. notice the marrow walk and venom exploits for synergy bonuses.
I was wondering if that would make a viable build for necro based on this.
marrow walks, and venom on switch
skelly mancer:
20 RS
20 SM
1 clay
1 golem mastery
1 summon resist

1 in all curses( mainly for party play)

10-20 in psn dagger (i'd say 20, but i saw a build say 10 is viable for using the bug)
1 teeth
1 in ce
20 in bone spear or spirit

that's around 95 skill points

i did some calculations on chippydip's and got these #'s
with +5 to all skills:

5935-6264 psn dagger damage

as opposed to 8095 - 8543 with maxxed synergies

spear:
912-970
or
1782-1894

spirit:
1342-1447
or
2511-2708

plus
1 point bone armor, get the 33 lvl synergy

the spear damage seems alot lower, but the psn dagger seems ok.

this seems like a very versatile build. the only thing you really lose is a higher level CE, but that loses effectiveness in 8 player games right? plus if you don't put 20 in psn dagger, you'd have some floating points
plus, you do phys, magic and psn damage

the only issue i see with this build is that you have alot of different areas to focus on. what i mean is , dagger mancer needs the ability to hit, bone mancer's gonna want a fast attack, which would make the gear selection kinda specific.

also, this build is super reliant on two bugged items. which some might say is BM, is kinda cheap, and will suck if they fix the bug. if it is a bug

my main question is: is the spear/spirit damage high enough?

questions? comments? flames?

The damage is high enough because your skeletons will probably do most of the killing. My Commando mancer uses Marrows and the extra points he has go into Bone Spirit. I only use the Spirit as a way to finish off a boss when I have switched to my Ali-babas and Rhyme shield, and in that aspect, 1.5k is enough. As a main attack, 1.5k doesn't seem to be very high.

not bad but i started making on right after the "best dagger for a daggermancer" threat came out when venom was talked over and im currently maxing SM and there is no point in comparison.... ur dagger (if ur playing untwinked) does so lil dmg even with + skills @ the start that u just engage the free monsters left over by ur skeletal swarm and try ur best to kill it by poking him now and again... another bad thing is that the " + x after monster kill" becomes useless since ur skeletons will probably clear the area b4 ur poison takes any effect so ull be chugging blue bottles like there is no tomorrow for the better part of ur game.. mana leech becomes just as bad b/c ur centered on poison dmg and no physical... sooo mana is and will be a constant problem..... and on top u wanna add a bone spell ... ugh... dunno...

the shruken head i have gives me +1 bone spear... not much and to tell u the truth thats not the reason im keeping it... but... i see it when i poke (tickle) a monster and then out of wishful thinking i start filling the screen with bone spears to help my bone-white horde and fater the 17th shot of this magic missle i hear "no enought mana" and thats with base mana (summoner) + mana items..... and i look @ the score board and see necro-kills... 3.. maybe 4 if i was lucky... Team bone-kills 32-38 on a good day..

but thats just my 2 cents... im not flamming or going against ur build... i know it sounded sane to me when i proposed venom and started building it after mantis streered me in to the summoning-venom part (summoning making it viable) but now that i play it feels that it could be time better spent if u get rid of vemon and and use something that can actualy help u maybe a runeword like beast... and go ahead with the bone spear/spirit idea....

thats my 2 cents again im not flaiming or going against it but im playing half of ur idea now and i find it really hard on manay which i know will only get orse soon..

I have a question about the Venom bug. It gives 15 to poison explosion and 13 to poison nova. These charges actually act as though you placed hard points into these skills?

Does this mean that if you put 5 in poison explosion, 7 in nova, and 20 in dagger you would have a fullly synergized poison tree? In other words, will more skill points in PE and PN add to the synergy?

nope charges of skill B give u synergies to skill A ,AS LONG as u dont put ANY/ZERO/NADA points in to skill B

in venom... u cant put any points to poison explotion or poison nove in order to have an almost fully synergized poison dagger

Yes.

No. The charges/synergy bug ONLY shows if you don't have ANY points in that skill yourself --- no hardpoints, no +skill from items.

bobbob I think you've nailed that problem and that is you are trying to build for two different things: casting and melee.

I would say just pick either poison or bone and spend the rest of your points to beef up golems, boost CE, or make your curses better.

If you go Venom you can still wear Marrows to get you a better Bone Armor. But if you go bone I think you should go all out.

Venom's out put isn't even close to fully syncd pd. You are missing 8 +20%'s with it +160% that is a huge difference. Especially when you consider that PD is a modifable damage spell.

yeah but hes using venom to save points for skellies and his bone skill.... we know it doesnt even come close to a fully synergized PD and that those 160% will cripple the build... but like i mentioned b4 my biggest anoyance with this build is mana its such a pain in the a$$ but oh well.. eventually ill find out a way around it....

You can also get charges of Bone Spirit and Bone Spear on certain gear. Though the highest charge of these I've seen is a level 6.

Used in conjunction with Trangs, this makes a highly effective PD'er. Good Block, good bone armor, super fast walk, and nice Poison bonuses.
