Iceidins any good at pvp????

Are Frost Zealots worth anything in pvp..........?????? They do alright n pvm. iwas just looking for a paladin build that could do ubers, kill things fast in pvm, and be great at pvp........yea yea hammerdins are the best i know but is there any other build that can do those three things good. a holy freeze paladin is my favorite so any suggestions. i was hoping for a way to smite with the holy freeze on in pvp but i dont think that might be possible without hurting ur pvm skills. someone give me a few pointers please.

Frostzealots aren't very good in high lvl duels, but they can do well in lld. I guess if you made it lld though, you wouldn't really be able to do ubers :undecided: . I guess its just one or the other for you.

Vs. non-summoning casters it should do ok as u can charge them for nice cheap shot kills. You'd have to have nice res and/or some small sorb in certain situations. Although, a windy or bone nec w/ summons would be tricky unless u caught them w/ there summons wandering which is never if they tele. Vs. melee it should do well tho except vs. smite. Zons will get slowed, ww barbs don't fair well against zeal, wolves would be frozen, etc.
I thought about doing a similar build w/ lots of ias to make up for the lack of fanat (maybe even use beast). Would be something different than your standard hdin or smiter u see in every pub game out there.

u say charge none summon casters. where would u get the charge ar?
20 in holy freeze and 20 in resist cold is a must
20 in zeal is a must for ar in pvm and pvp thats 60
prolly need rest in sacrifice and holyshield
or do u think putting 20 in charge would be good for a everyonce in a while pvp situation . i like to duel just when people start talking some trash u know and it aggravates me to have a pvm character who can smash everyone but get wooped in two seconds by someone who cant even kill a hell cow. any gear suggestions as well???

Hmm, I'm not a heavy Pally player but couldn't you use Doom, synergize Res Cold, then pour the remaining points into Charge? Or is a Grief too important for a build like this?

nah the frost damage dosent get high enough and doom is so slow. grief and stormlash is what i was going to use. with grief i can hit the break point wearing treachery and hit it with stormlash with a little extra work. but i was wondering what would be the duel weapons for charge grief probabbly and if anyone has any opinions or suggestions to make this frost guy a reality. any more strategies?

Nah.. no need for ar vs. casters. What you put in for dex, plus a raven should get u there for hittin sorces, zons, necs and druids. Hdin's are a different story tho... ur gonna have to tele/zeal or come up w/ some tatic on them =/
Gear wise...will depend on ur budget. I'm not sure, but here's some guesses.
cold facet nightwing would be nice (dex, cold dmg, skills, cold sorb)
enigma*, coh, fort for armor
dungos belt
treks boots
Hoz, phoenix or cold facet sacred targe
grief pb
bloodfist gloves
highlords, metalgrid, angelics
ravens or nice str,dex,ar rings
Good luck, should be interesting.

so i see.....so what do u suggest putting the points into.
20 zeal
20 holy freeze
20 holy shield
20 resist cold
what points left over to charge or sacrifice or salvation?

Yeah I'd say rest in salv for more cold dmg. Might as well maximize ur cold dmg the best you can. Also, You should think about including some offensive gcs instead of pcombs in ur inventory.

sure it might be fun but ive never seen a good one

you wont do enough dmg or have enough ar and pretty much all clases have advantage over you.

Now that I rethink it, a frostazealot might do decently in pvp. I still am sticking with my old lld style froster, however. You are, however, going to have a lot of trouble with smiters. This is an idea (maybe bad), but I would keep a 4 or 5 range weapon in your stash for dueling them. Your hf will make them slower, so they'd take even longer getting to you than usually, so you'd be able to get more hits on them than you might otherwise with a low ranger.

Honestly, if you want to play a non-cookie cutter pvp class, worrying about pvm effectiveness is not an option.

OT: Kiba banned?!
