IBS question

Hello everyone, this is my first post, but i have been reading around this necromancer forum for a while now and am a big fan of the class. My question is, is there any way to make a bone spirit go invisible? From what i read it just happens after a certain amount of time. Thanks in advanced.

Well i believe if a bone spirit chases ur oppenet for 9 seconds(i think its 9) it then becomes invisible until it hits ur oppenet or the bone spirit goes into town or hits a wall or monster.

IBS occurs when your opponent can't see you on the minimap. If he can't see your name on the map he can't see your spirits either.

Spirits will only last for 6 seconds, unless that was changed in 1.10. Not 100% sure.

Let me be the first to welcome you to the Necromancer forum, Tank.

And yeah, the minimap trick is the thing that makes you shoot IBS, afaik.

I just hope that you won't be using those IBS purposefully in duels ;) , 'cause you'd be giving necs all around a bad name (not that we weren't already one of the most hated dueling classes :p )

Straight from my guide:

IBS (Invisible Bone Spirit): Ah the fear of all characters, what is it you ask? It is when after a certain distance, bone spirit becomes invisible! Similar to the invisible guided arrow glitch/bug. If you're losing life and you see nothing on screen, you are most likely getting hit by IBS or IGA (Invisible Guided Arrow). If you are getting hit and you see nothing, then you are most likely a victim of IBS or IGA. How do you do this you might ask? Read on about Bone Spirit.

Bone Spirit Information: Bone Spirit tracks yes. But what many do not know is that it tracks after it passes its targeted spot, or if you name lock someone. What I mean by by, after it passes its targeted spot? It is where you click your arrow, your BS will travel to, if it doesnt hit anything, it will begin to seek a target on its own. This is where IBS comes in. After traveling awhile after its targeted point, BS will turn invisible and still track, becoming the infamous IBS. How far it has to travel I have not yet found out, I just know that after awhile it turns invisible. Again, BS lasts 6 seconds tracking/seeking a target before it disappears. Also, Bone Spirit turns invisible if your opponent is OFF of your minimap, which means that their little red X with their name above their head must NOT appear on your mini-map for BS to turn into IBS.

My guide has pictures if u dont understand

Correct me if I'm misinterpreting this sentence, but are you claiming that spirits can get invisible even though the defender can see the necromancer on the map? As far as I know, tracking IBS is only possible if an enemy flees out of the necromancers 'map vision' after being close and getting namelocked or passing by close to the point where a spirit was targeted (IIRC, bs has a seeking range of 5 yards). And of course, tracking IBS is possible at long range with scroll/autoaim.

Ah, my sentence was a bit misleading, it should be, it ONLY turns invisible once the necromancer is off the minimap, however, if you come back on, it still STAYS invisible, which also means that if u cast it, let it get out of your sight, then teleport onto the targets screen, the bone spirit is still invisible, thanks for pointing that out
