IAS Jewel in Dual Wield

If I put a 15% IAS jewel into one sword on a dual wield barb will the other sword get the increased speed bonus too?

If you socket the 15 ias jewel on the sword, wouldnt it be logical if only the sword you socket it in benefit from it?

Well, if you are using Whirlwind the Modified WSM (Base Weapon Speed - Increased Attack Speed on Weapon) of both weapons is averaged, so putting an IAS jewel in one weapon could help the other in overall FPA of Whirlwind. This is for an Assassin, not quite sure about Barbarian.

But as I understand if you put the Jewel into say a Helm then your general IAS will increase - i.e. both swords will increase. But I have heard that when socketing weapons thinkgs like damage can be affected differently if the weapon is socketed or the armour is socketed.

Not sure if this is right, but only the right handed weapon (of the barb) and OIAS determines attack speed with Frenzy.
