I was killed by my Arm of King Leoric for N times

Everybody knows Arm of Kings has the Bone Prison skill added to it. I had been killed by this stupid random bone prison for so many times that I'm even thinking about getting another wand.

It's stupid. Well, the bone prison does help when the monster is physical-range attacker (not really). But how about being trapped by your own bone prison with an Act 4 Venom Lord and having no pot's left?

I don't know if Blizz made this design on purpose just to make Arm of King IMPERFECT.

So far as I know, Arm is still the best wand for a summoner. The bone prison bonus just annoys one day after another.

I fully agree. I have had more deaths and NDEs due to that damn "Chance to cast lvl 2 Bone Prison When Struck" it's not funny anymore. I love the wand to death, but it sucks, plain and simple.

i had a couple deaths from it when i first got it...but i learned from my mistakes, it teaches you not to get in the fray, well it did better for me, once you get the hang of it...

    hmm...

What I think now is that the Bone Prison bonus is indeed a negative bonus. We know some items do give negative bonus such as "- % resistance." So the purpose of the Bone Prison bonus is actually to trap the necro with the monster that's attacking the necro.

If this is true, I would say the game designer is a genius, but I would kill him and CE his body :D

Keep the pointer away or not so close to your character when risking/being hit, and there is no problem. Work everytime for me, as the prisons appear far away where your pointer is.

Hmm this is interesting. So far I haven't died by my arm (lol) but I've never noticed if this is true or not either...

Just dont run to monster packs.. Simple :p
Switch to walk instead of running will help alot.
I myself havent got killed by this thing since I first time got into prison with monster.

Try to cast Clay golem inside with you and see what happens.

Have read posts about monsters prefer hitting Clay instead of you or your other summons.

    Or get Enigma ;)

I sense a certain kinship between Arm of King Leoric and Occulus.

The solution is simple. Have The Arm and a +3 Summoning head on your weapon switch, use it to raise your initial skellie army with the nice plusses and then switch to a safer +2 wand and a Homunculous or good +2 head for questing or magic finding. You might lose an odd skellie but the remaining ones will be nicely "buffed up" with the bonusses from The Arm.

This wand simply sucks for HC as far as Im concerned and way too risky in Hell for my liking . I gave mine away to a friend that just uses it for buffing and now I use Carrin Shard . Much nicer mods IMO and I do just as good , without worrying about being trapped with some mad monster in hell .

Unless the monster has munchies, those dancing onion rings won't do a thing...

decrep them or better yet... get enigma... BP? What BP? The world is wall-less with enigma.

This is a problem-oriented forum. Very few people actually come here and say "D2 is a good game and I like playing it."
