I Want to know what you think!

Ok with Blizzcon 09 around the corner, and with us expecting a new class to be anounced, what do you think is going to happen.

A) they are going to anounce only one new class

B) they will anounce both classes

C) They will tease us for another year and not give us a new class.

D) they will show us the ranged class

E) they will show us the Holy class

F) Both D & E

Besides class, what else would you like to see in this Blizzzcon ( D3 related, and realisticly acourse)

I think they will anounce the range clas this year, leaving the last class to for Blizzcon 10. I woud like to hear a little bit more about the plot, and maybe news about beta testing. I would be so happy to be able to play test Diablo 3 along tih most of you on the site.

So what do you think?

I personnally think blizzard will announce both classes and much more at blizzcon 09
I'am also hoping they might announce the release date for the beta but thats more a wish then anything else

What I would LIKE to see, is at LEAST one character announcement, a LOT more gameplay footage showing a different act and showing some towns. and these other secretive customizing mechanics they keep teasing us about that they haven't revealed yet.

my worst fear though, is that they will choose to be cruel and give us none of that and keep us in the dark for another few months. and just feed us less than interesting information that will do anything BUT quench our thirst for D3 insider goodies.

all we can do is hope for the best.

I also do expect them to show the two remaining classes once and for all.

But I have a feeling that this Blizzcon will be more dedicated to the new IP, the new MMO, Blizzard loves to create hype and I dont think they will miss this opportunity.

So I have a strong feeling that neither Diablo 3 or Starcraft 2 will be the star of the show, the new IP/MMO will be, if they announce it.

even if diablo 3 is not the star of the show, they better give us the information we want, or else lol. I dont care about another MMO, and the IP is just an IP, and i never played the first starcraft ( dont like the futuristic theme) so SC2 who care (atleast not me) Diablo 3 to me is the only thing Diablo has to offer to intrest me. Although if they are anouncing a new MMO, i feel bad for the wow people because i doubt they will get another expansion if they are releaseing another MMO, they will not want to compete with themsleves.

I believe they will just show one class. Probably a ranged attack type.
My reasoning is that is still a while before the game launches and I would guess they feel a better use of that time from here on is focusing players on a class at a time. Otherwise, people would start complaining in three months that blizzard doesn't give any new information.

I'm however pretty confident a lot more new and cool information will be exposed about the game. Frankly, the classes is what I'm least interested in. I'm hoping for a first tiny glimpse at the plot, the new item type, item customization (socketing) and a couple new monsters.

EDIT: Oh, but probably the bing thing about blizzcon this year will be SC2 and the announcement of the new game they have been working on.

P.S. when do we expect the game to be out? And how many large events are there before the expected release of the beta (if there even is one). Based on that, I think we can make a good prediction of what they will tell us. They want to spread the announce of great things like classes as much as possible to get as much as possible hype.

Best case scenerio for me is they reveal the archer class, and not just what he/she looks like, but a ton of game mechanics. I want to know if the arrows stick in bodies and for how long, do the arrows fly faster than in d2 (where a barb can run faster than an arrow), how are they going to top multishot and strafe without making skills that are too OP, roughly how high will IAS go for archers compared to d2, rogue borrowed ideas or zon borrowed ideas, the skill trees, downfalls of being non-melee, and so on. It's not fair that the barb fans learn so much and the archer fans get NOTHING all these months. So I hope Blizzard makes up for this by releasing a ton of info about the archer.

Worst case scenerio is they announce a new monster.

I think they will announce one new class. My reasoning is that I also think they will give more spotlight to the Witch Doctor. I mean, just go count his skills in the wiki and then count the Barbarian's and Wizard's. There is so little actualy known about the Witch Doctor, he may have even gotten a total overhaul for all we know. Conclusion: they will show of a new class and the "final" Witch Doctor.

Well since there is only one blizzard event this year and it may be that way next year as well. So I think we'll get both classes at this blizzcon. Either that or the last class revealed without an event. The wizard came 5 months after the first 2. And this blizzcon comes 10 months after the wizard was revealed, so I think they can show us 2 classes. A 10 month wait for each class is just too long.

i know if they hand out beta cd's and keys, that it will be a good sign of them getting close to finishing the game. I cant tell you how much i want to atleast sea a date set for beta testing. For now playing Diablo 2:LOD is clalming the hunger, nut it wont last. I want something amazing for diablo.

I really do think we will egt the ranged class, and i hope it will be awsome, since they nerfed teleport, i think i am going to main the ranged class. I would like to here the plot, or some more teaser of the plot line, i dont want them to give the story away either, just enough to where i will say "Thats F**cKiNg Sweet"

They could reveal Diablo (appearance) and explain where he comes from! That'd feed us for at least 1 year.

Also they will probably feed us with something like : NEW MONSTERS ! Zombies will return! (yay...)

I imagine they'll reveal another class. I don't think they'll reveal both remaining classes, but I suppose it's possible. I would think they'll save the last class for the next WWI (which i assume they'll be having eventually).

I figure in addition to the character class they'll reveal some more new/old monster types, a location or two, maybe more info about what and where some of the early acts will be.

If I remember correctly Bashiok had said they weren't very far along with what will be the fifth character. Though that was a while back, it would still point to them not introducing the last character at BlizzCon this time around.

I'm kind of suprised to hear people say they think both remaining classes will be revealed. I just can't see Blizz showing their hand so soon. They are known for keeping important information secret like the 4 years of silence while D3 was in the works.

I am very confident the next class unveiled will be the bow-wielding class because we already know there will be bows. If they were to reveal the final two classes they would lose all speculation on what the fifth class will be. That isn't very good for keeping the hype up.

They could anounce the 5th charecter, and there would still much to keep the hype up, Blizzard is good at what they do, but i dont think the 5th class will be revealed this time around. I think for most part it seems everyone think the bow wielding classes will be revealed. I dont think i want to know how diablo came around yet, but showing us what he looks like would be awsome. Also i think i read it was 5 years of silence.

That was in December. Eight months(or 6 since what is shown is usually a month or 2 behind) should be enough to make a character, at least enough to show it off. And like I was saying before. Two classes came when it was announced and then the wizard was only 5 months later. Now its been 10 months without anything(once blizzcon gets here). I think that long is enough to justify showing 2 of them. Otherwise its 20 months or so to just get 2 when we got 3 in the first 6 months. And since there is only one blizzard event this year they need to have more to offer at this one, cause its the only chance they get for a while.

It all makes sense now. They will release the archer class because we all know there MUST be an archer class in d3. The 5th class will then always be a complete mystery to generate intense hype and speculation. It doesn't really have to be a knight/cleric/paly sort of class since d1 didn't have one. It could end up being more assassin or druid based, so the mystery will remain. If they reveal the non-archer class then there's really no mystery left at all because we would then know that the 5th class is archer.

On the other hand, if they reveal a non archer, the question is why. and it won't take long before people will start inventing crazy things about this archer just because it's the last class.

Things like a holy archer are already know considered a possibility. imagine what will happen when they reveal a non-archer.


We make the mystery ourselves, and I'm sure there will always be mystery if people want there to be mystery. And people want there to be mystery so...
