I Want To Have This Car's Babies

I have long lusted after the Zonda, it has been my dream car since the first time I saw it. However, there is another, someone new and exciting. Behold, the Veyron Linea Vincero!

The stock Veyron had 1001 horsepower. This time, they're cranking it up to 1,109. That's a lot. They are also changing the interior and stuff, which is neat, I guess, but Jesus H. Christ in a chicken basket 1,109. That is a lot of horses. I can't even imagine how many horses that is. It's just a lot.
Bad news though: They are only going to make three. And the price is unannounced, which means if you must ask you can't afford it. The regular Veyron is over $1.5 million, so this version will be catastrophically expensive. But oh so secksy.

Very nice car.

Just imagining me and Lindsay Lohan making out in that cars feels orgasmic.

Let's say you suddenly got one of these things. What exactly would you... do with it? Even the normal Veyron has 2 V8s and 4 turbos, producing a total of 1000hp, 0-60 in under 2.5s, and can do over 250mph... and yet the top speed limit in most countries is still in the 50-80mph range. It's not even that good a track car because it weighs so much - over 2000kg, and that means it will struggle in the corners. So, sure, it's a brilliant piece of engineering... but what exactly is it it good for in the real world?

For the sake of saying "OMGWTFBBQ IM RICH" I guess... And lusting after it. And spending time washing it. Quite a lot of people enjoy washing their car, especially one like this.

And who knows, it might save your butt if 007 chooses to chase you :p

I've never been able to understand the appeal of supercars. I guess I just like old or lame cars that people make fast more than a car that is fast from the factory. For a few million it had better be fast.

I can't see spending more on a car than a house would cost.
And does the grill on that thing remind any other old timers of the Edsel?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edsel
The Edsel is best remembered for its trademark "horsecollar" grille, distinct from other cars of the period. A widely circulated wisecrack at the time was that "It looked like an Oldsmobile sucking on a lemon." Men often referred to the horsecollar grille as being akin to a woman’s genitalia. In fact, Robin Jones, a Ford designer at the time, later recalled that someone in the design studio—presumably as a cruel joke—actually taped hair to the inside of the grille area on one of the clay models during the design process; the result, according to Jones, "looked like a hormonally-disturbed cow after giving birth."

When you're heavily invested enough in a car that your car's value prohibits you from parking in places you'd normally be happy to park in, or means you're double parking intentionally to ensure no-one scratches your door with theirs, you've gone wrong somewhere. Now if you can afford to hire a troop of ex-military to guard it wherever you go I guess that's another matter, though I reckon I'd rather take a helicopter.
