    I want to dupe

Hello everybody, before go on i'd need your approvement
Currently i'm crafting an ammy for +15% FCR and +2 the sorceress skills.
    The raw material are:
    any jewel
    any blue ammy
    amethyst
    RAL RUNE

I have a lot of Pgems stock, i can trade for junk jewel, i can do LK runs for blue ammy.
Now Ral runes... i didn't pick a lot of them, i'm running out of stock after several effort.
My plan jsut like this, i will dupe for Ral runes, then i will delete my higher runes.

for example, i have several Sol rune which each of it mathematically equal 3x3x3x3x3 Ral.
So what do you think if i dupe fo rals with the cost of must delete the higher runes?

if the forum disagree then i guess i'll start countessing...

in advance i thankyou for your opinion

    -salvo-

    huh? you're kidding - right?

edit: so, by your reasoning if someone finds a zod they can make: jah+ber for enigma, ber for beast, ber for CoH, Ohm for Call to arms, and a vex for HotO and still have runes left over

    Well,

Personally, I don't care what one person does or doesn't do, but the fact that you have to ask probably indicates it isn't a good idea. I can just about promise that there would be people on this forum that disagree with it. No one can disagree with countess runs! ;) Maybe you could trade your higher runes for 3 of the one you need? Don't know much about trading. I've never actually traded anything, or got items from someone else.

    I would heavily disagree.

Since there is no such thing as a "Cube Down" recipie, I advise against it.

    Just start running for them.

Hell, most of my Ral runes come from the Act 5 quest when you get Ral Ort and Tal for completing it.

That's 3x Ral per character, +3 Tal's which is a total of 4 free Ral runes, not to mention any you might find along the way. Just start playing lots of characters through the game, you'll have a ton in no time.

I would just edit this post and say, haha its a joke if i was you, this is pretty bad timing, and while I don't care what you do on your comp, it pretty much eliminates any chance of MPing or trading ever as you would have to announce what you did before ever trade/mpgame.

My opinion: Don't do it! Ral runes are very easy to come by, and the Countess always drops them (and Tal runes too, which you can cube into Ral). If your Ral supply is short, I can send some to you - if the mods allow it, of course ;) . I always pick them up when rune hunting.

i wouldnt dupe. i could send you some as well if allowed. or maybe you could ask a mod about hosting a giveawy centered around collecting rals.

salvo, that's the absolutely worst idea I've heard in a while. Why? Since you are an active trader here, if you are also a duper, you will be banned.

Just play the game like the rest of us. ;)

    edit:
There is no trading, giveaways or contests for runes in the SPF. I've made a couple of exceptions before, but that was a mistake - won't happen again.

    well i'm set :D

omg i am so going to cube my zod all the way down to el

don't do it man. they are common enough in nm and hell countess that it'd just about be quicker to run her than to dupe them

dont your clvl need to be so high to get them mods to roll in the first place (at least the +2 skills) and also the item lvl of the magic ammy counts towards that?

I always kind of wondered why there wasn't a cube downgrade recipe anyway. I wouldn't shun you for doing this, but other people might.

    (clvl+ilvl(of ammy))/2 >= 90 to get +2 skills

so then the first thing you need to do is make sure your crafting with a high enough clvl and i guess you could gamble for the ammys with that clvl to get the ammys also then you have a better chance to make what you want and not waste the ral's you do find

    Understood, thankyou for the responds.
I didn't mean bad, but gotta admit my lazyness.
I have a pure lighting sorc then let countess running starts...

    @shermo:
do need to pay attention for the ammy ilvl? how much is sufficient? my char is clvl90, is that enough?

add 'in my pants' to the end of the thread title.

i like to use lvl 85 area ammies just to be certain.

yup. Bear in mind that when you gamble the ilvl is clvl +/- 5. You can check the ilvl in atma. If you want to be certain of being able to get +2 skills, gamble and then craft with a lvl 93 or higher character

With clvl=90, you can craft with any ammy of ilvl >= 90. What I do is gamble a couple million gold away and save *every* amulet, then take them into ATMA and throw everything of the appropriate ilvls into a stash, sell the rest, and I'm set on crafting for the next 50+ tries.
