I take back everything I said about Donovan

For now. He still looks like a choker (past actions guide my bias).

He made an absolutely beautiful goal in the 5th minute. USA up 1-nil on Costa Rica at half.

    Donovan McNabb rules!

Best Irish player to ever grace the fields of Syracuse University.

Except that he never played at Syracuse and isn't Irish, yes; you are correct. Well, apart from the fact that he doesn't, in fact, rule.

Still 1-nil (61st). Keller is one of the top keepers in the world as far as I've seen. Especially since the U.S. defense is as porous as a defective diaphram.

Edit: 2 nil in the 63rd. Donovan. I'm looking the fool; moreso.

Well hopefully I can unhijack this thread. I only saw the second half of the match, and Donovan had a spectacular game. How about that run he made in the 90th minute? I thought he might put in a third.

Although the man of the match is Kasey Keller. His stops early in the 2nd half paved the way for the US to add to their lead. If even one of those had gone in, it would have been 1-1 and Costa Rica would have had the momentum.

3-0. Costa Rica had a couple of chances, but Keller was incredible in goal for the US.

Lol, if he was short, ginger hair and freckles, i'd agree with you. at least he's wearing green i suppose....
Anyway, USA look in a strong position to qualify, the problems for them come when facing european and SA teams, its a big step up, but USa, on the performances and results ive seen they are kind of in the next group down. get beaten by the top teams easy, but can generally hold there own against average teams. Still, they need a big name in there, someone who plays in a big club for a european team.
