    I Officially Am Never Quitting

Hello all. I've had the privilege of being in the company of some of the finest Diablo II players around, and playing one of the finest games there is. The addiction of D2...the hours it has sucked from me will never be returned.

That is why I must hereby announce that I am never quitting Diablo II. I don't know if I might cave in and quit the game, but as of right now, I'm going to play this game until I have a heart attack and the neighbors discover my rotting corpse two weeks later.

It's been good, and hopefully I'll see you all...I dunno, tomorrow? Because I'm never leaving this place either.

    Well said :)

I don't really understand why someone has to "quit" this game anyway. It's not like it's a job. There's nothing that says you can't just stop playing for awhile and then maybe every now and then fire it up. Sometimes I just don't understand the mentality.

I feel the same way kelicc. I've been playing off and on for a few years now. Granted it hasn't been that heavy in HC till a few months ago, but I've been on it. Changes in real life have limited my playing time, but I never saw it as quitting.. I'd like to quit smoking, I'd rather keep playing diablo.

i couldnt either, i have lost everything recently to a hack that stole my pw. I no longer have any of my accounts. i had an almost godly sc dueler paladin, and a really nice hc acct with 4 70+ chars. and one 86 sorc. Its all gone but i still play i have friends that hooked me up and gave me gear for the few runes i had left(fal,io,sol, dols). And traded my last unique(Ls) for a viper and a suicide branch. I will never quit as much as i say i will quit.

I've never quit a game. There are tons that i never play anymore. What would be kinda impressive would be If one quit Diablo and all computer games for the rest of their life. To quit Diablo then play another game is... well normal.

I do not even find it impressive when someone says I quit and now Im going to build model airplanes, or garden all day. Good for you but, maybe you should give up gardening. So what is youre poison? or medicine?

Bored with the game move on. But do not act like you have acheived anything by moving on other than being bored. No big deal it happens.

Been playing since Diablo came out. Don't know why you'd want to quit a perfectly good game. Save so much money by playing one game forever...

That way you can afford more beer. mmmmmm beer... :drink:

:: except for the expansion packs of course, have to get those ::

What I can't believe is brainwave here just found the forums a couple months ago.

When Guildwars and Sacred come out you may not quit but you may play Dii a lot less.

that's awesome your not ever quitting, I think my friend humberto who has the number 2 softcore ladder sorc has the same mentality. He's 50 something, retired and basically has 5 computers to play diablo 2 11 hours a day.

The only thing to be careful of is playing too much diablo 2 in a short period maybe. One can easily get more bored of the game if playing every day for long hours without a day or 2 in between to have breaks and do other fun things. I know the game is much more fun if i don't come back to it for 3-4 days and then play for a while.
