After my harddrive swap, I can't get this working for Windows 8.1. I think Windows is blocking it because it has a little shield over top of the install application. Even if I try to run it as an administrator, a double click does nothing. Any ideas?

Edit: Well the third site I found offered a version that worked and/or weren't blocked by the abomination they call 8.1.

What are you talking about? Installation of ATMA? I heard it raises a false alarm on one of the usual virus checkers, I forgot which one, so switch it off during the installation.

Besides, you can simply copy the folder with ATMA in it to your new HD and then create the icons by hand. Using the install file isn't needed... and you certainly want to use your existing stash files as well, right?

First try, I got it from the ATMA website. Symantic Endpoint blocked it, but I added an exception to let it run. At the point I think Windows was blocking it or something. Somehow opening the installer file resulted in nothing even when symanitc was off and I was in administrator mode. Whatever.

Second try, I followed the link from the FAQ. I copied the files over and whatnot but still had some kind of corruption error or the like.

Third try, I googled ATMA and found a third site with an install file and it went right through without a hitch.

I know this is hardly scientific, but I think the problem is likely from Windows 8.1 compatibility issues. Frustrating at the time, but no biggie. Just thought I'd post it in here in case anybody else ran into similar problems.

Also, I don't mean to knock ATMA seeing how beloved she is.

Did you attempt to run the Installer in Compatibility Mode?

I eventually got it to work. I think I found one with an installer file and not the zip file. I just had to find another source.
