I never thought I'd be so excited about taxes.

    BOOOOOYYYYAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

I just did an e-file throught H&R Block and I'm getting a phat return this year. $1992 federal and $786 from the state of Wisconsin. Some adivce for you college students or people who are taking night classes is the Lifetime Learning Credit on your Federal return. If you are enrolled in a post-secondary school and pay less than $10000 in tuition, you can be eligible for this credit (Nabbed me and extra $360 over just claiming tuition. You can either claim tuition or Lifetime Learning, but not both.)

We are getting $3700... child tax credit and earned income credit give a lot of money.

Great! I am getting a decent return myself, although I was a bit miffed at all the computations I had to do to take the new child tax credit. I thought it was simply a raise from $600 to $1,000. Nope..

I e-filed with HR Block as well. I really need that refund right about now.

I made 28.50 this year so I don't think I qualify for tax returns.

    nice nice...

I just got my W2's today, so I will find out what my return will be soon.... my Mom works at H&R Block so I don't have to pay any fees :D (But I always buy my mom a nice present anyways)

And good looking on the college enrolled thing... I will have to check into that

I remember my first year of college, I also owed about 200 dollars in tax. Then I heard about a Hope Credit, went to my accounting teacher (who is also a CPA) and she turned my 200 debt into a 1600 refund! I was happy.
