I need help with socketing choices.

Ok, making a level 49 pvp blizz sorc and have 3 options available for my weapon socket and can't decide on which to use. Keep in mind the 2nd choice I don't have yet, and the 3rd is borderline too expensive for my tastes, though I will try to get it if the majority agrees I should. I can't decide on which to focus on, as I like a little extra resist on my main set up, but also like increased damage. And I cannot get another orb and switch between them, as it is very rare. Also I have a 3 cold skills/20 fcr circlet with 2 sockets, which I need hit recovery and damage, and can't decide on that either. This is east sc nl, if that helps. Main difference I noticed, is facets are more expensive, which puts a lot of strain on me.

in your circlet, if you need FHR, socket it with a shael (grants 20% FHR).

The orb I'm using is my +5 blizz secret weapon, with 1 open socket.

As for the circlet, yes, I do need hit recovery, but theres always the chance I can get that from my skill charms. (maybe), in which case I can use facets or something. From what I understand cold skillers with fhr cost the same as 30 lifers. I might be able to get 1-2 of these if I'm lucky, but certainly not a full set. I dunno. The guide I checked says that the hit recovery breakpoints for a sorceress are:

15: 0
14: 5
13: 9
12: 14
11: 20
10: 30
9: 42
8: 60
7: 86

I want to aim for the second to last or the last one. My gear gives 27% (67% if I use both sockets for shaels), so I would need either 2 or 5 fhr skillers to hit the last breakpoint, and either 0 or 3 to hit the second last breakpoint. Remember this is a level 49 maximum character, so please do not suggest higher level items such as fathom, nightwings, coh etc. And for those of you that are wondering, I'm choosing level 49 because 1: I like mid level duels more than high level and 2: It's far less expensive.

EDIT: Just checked the poll, and everyone voted for perf cold facet. I kinda figured you would, but keep in mind that I don't have one, and such an item is multiple high runes last I checked (I thought it was 1 maybe, which is why I said borderline), and the whole point of my mid lvl dueling is to not spend so much. I could afford it if I wanted to, but I don't want to spend half of my tradeables on a single item.

Ok, first off, 2 resists dont make a BIG difference, so take out the 15 resists jewel.

Basically, +9dex=More Block and +13 resists jewel is always good because it offers good defensive mods. The 5/5 Cold Facet is more of a offensive jewel.

save the facet for your endgame gear... so.. its no.1 for me
