I need a weapon for my pally pleeeeease

this is really getting ridiculous, i can't find ANYTHING decent for my pally. i was actually into act iV before i even saw a type of armor that was made of metal. i was in leather armor till then. my gloves are still leather gloves now, and i'm using a regular jagged star for my weapon, (i'm in NM act I). I can't go farther until i get a better weapon. I'm using vengance/conviction, i just need a one handed cleaver or exceptional mace. I'm a level 42 now, pleeeease i need help here, this is ridiculous. I partied with a guy earlier on b-net and he even said that he couldn't believe what horrid luck i have finding things, we dind't see anything better than cracked plate mail through 3/4 of act I. i really really really need a weapon, if anyone is reading this and can get on battlenet and toss me a spare weapon, please, respond here, i'm sending up an s.o.s. here I"m at my wits end.

Ladder or Non-ladder? East, West, or Europe? Softcore or Hardcore?

Well yes, you are having terrible luck - but thankfully it really shouldn't be bothering you....normal is well, fairly easy and I use the word fairly rather loosely.

You could always collect chipped gems and offer them for trade for a decent early weapon - however I am not so certain the 3 chipped cubing is used much anymore....

oh sorry, i'm ladder, on us east. I'm at level 42 though, i dunno if gems would be good enough to trade for a decent weapon. Althought I do find a TON of gems with this guy.


on my single player pally i have the butchers pupil, which i love, so i guess i'm spoiled

Actually you could probably trade for something like Butcher's pupil with perfect gems quite easily. I got Nord's Tenderizer for 1 perfect gem on ladder, and the same guy gave a Gimmershred for the same. Certain elite items like these are fairly common I suppose, so shouldnt be too hard to get one eventually. Since you are only in nightmare now, you certainly should have good luck with trading cheaply for a unique exceptional weapon, as there are tons of them, and people generally have more than they know what to do with. Probably same deal with armors. If I find a suitable weapon for you I'll let you know though, but I am just sort of struggling through hell now.

My friend did a load of MFing on ladder, and came accross some decent weapons and mediocre armors... I'm sure if you wait a few days, I could hook you up with something... I'm tagging along on ladder, trying to start my MF sorc, while leveling my frosty... while still MFing on nonladder with my Hammerdin and playing with my Teslafister and finishing up my guide...

As you can see, I'm a bit busy in game. :thumbsup:

However, with the PGems, I'm sure you could find something to hold you over... something better than what you have. Some people simply become desperate for some fast crafting gems, and make ridiculous trades... which I experience constantly for some reason.
