First I had a Frenzy Barb and he was awesome, then I moved to my beloved Auradin. My Bearsorc was fantastic and last but not least was my K/T Dream Sin. Sensing a pattern?

I've tried and enjoyed some casters/ranged builds and they were okay, but never something I charished. My ideal build is melee, not only that, but a melee build capable of killing anything and everything expeditiously (all dual immunes must die). Oh and I also prefer somewhat -nconventional/nonnmainstream

But as my gear wishlist gets niche-er and niche-er, I find myself in need of a new project build. Something with potential. Any ideas?

If you've already got the Dream gear, why not build a Zeal sorc? Kind of a funky build. You can always use Frozen Orb or Blizzard to kill the LI's if Enchant is not pumped enough.

Tempting. I always liked my IK whirler. How does he do vs. phys immunes?

These all sound cool. I'll have to mess around.

Is this just pre-expansion? I'm definitely considering making a 1.07 build.

I tried her. Cool build, but seems like a nerfed bearsorc to me.

Nothing special. Frenzy just has a special place in my heart because he was the first character I had all the way back in the 90's. And Frenzy just makes you into a killing machine. He has a Death Colossus Sword and a Grief PB and just destroys...the horks.

I've tried Rift builds. Didn't find them to be fast enough killers. Maybe I'll try this one again.

Oh how I miss the old days of Javazon vs. cows. MOO!

I was considering this. How volatile is he without a shield?

If Rift is too slow on its own, you can add in your dual Dreams and really break the game. Putting Rift on the paladin and the merc guarantees there's just a stupid amount of fireworks going on all the time. It's a theme build to be sure, but it sounds fun.

Two-handed Fanatic Zealot is a beast. Even with my not-so-great gear, I made one that worked really well a while back. One of the more enjoyable characters I've made, and sturdy even p8 in Hell. He dealt 13k-26k damage @ 5/5/5/5/10 fps attack (54k-108k dps) with 100% CB, so could take down most bosses really quickly. I never missed having a shield. Used Death in a 2-hander.

The beauty of it, that it destroys Physical immunes with Reapers Merc. I'll vouch javazon, it's a retardedly strong build.

Yeah, with Reaper's on a Might Merc, it's ridiculously strong.

Got one to 97 running Baal before I stopped playing. You've got to be willing to let your life yoyo up and down due to no blocking but with massive physical damage and plenty of leech.

So, certainly volatile but very viable.

A very funky Build would be an Avenger-Barbar, using Kingslayer as Offweapon and Oath/BotD as Mainweapon

Since you liked the Frenzier why not try the Frenzied Zealot Barb?

I've been out of town, was hoping someone would suggest a Druid and I could lazily like the post to show my support. You've all failed btw... I hope you're happy.

I'd suggest a flaming mauler build, they're fun and very durable. People tend to not have much interest in Druids, let alone shape shifting ones, so you can pick up some pretty slick gear for reasonably cheap. If you get tired of the bear, you can swap the gear over and try a feral rage/fury wolf out. Talk about bang for your buck! (I feel like you should be sold on Druids at this point.)

After all that, I would not recommend a wolf barb. Even with good gear, they just feel painfully slow. 'But Zylo, they can easily get 8k health!' Wham-Bam who the flip cares? I play a lot of melee characters, and for pvm I don't see a need for hp over 4k.[/rant]
