I just played a couple weeks of D2:LoD, and..

I personally never felt that it was slow at all but it's a common enough statement that, yes, there must be something behind it. I just can't figure out what that something is considering that on a practical level there really isn't much difference.

ps - D1 had the best movement speed though.

Even if it is just perception, the fact you hardly get any drops, and therefore have to do the same thing several dozen times more often to yield the same results means there's much more of a gogogogo mentality.

Of course it isn't just perception.
