I just have to brag about my finds the last two days

I never run Meph unless I need money to revive my merc, and I need some cash, so I tele down and kill him, a Uniqe ring dropps, geez I though, another Dwarf or Carrion Wind, ID it and it was a BK 5% LL:grin:

So about 2-3 runs later, I was clearing the pits and a green Sacred Armor dropped, Immortal King's Soul:cool:

The next day I was doing a solo Baal run, and a Unique Ward Bow dropps, ID it and It turned out a 5+ Guided Arrow 199%ED Widowmaker:grin:

Just had to share this:azn:

A little bird told me that Gorny also accepts payment of the romantic variety. By a little bird I mean Gorny. And by 'told me' I of course mean 'showed me'.

Grats on the finds.

It has been serious dry season for me. Nothing worth mentioning. A failed unique that i regret selling since about 15 mins later i decided to start collecting failed uniques.

Oh damn, a few days ago I threw away a failed unique archon plate. I would have given it to you for free.

First, I would like to know what a failed unique is. Then, I would like to convince myself that I never read that last post.

A failed unique is a rare item that tried to drop as a uniqe item, but failed due to certain restrictions. You can identify a failed unique by looking at the durability: it will have three times the normal durability.

Ok. I get it, I think. Like, if you didn't have enough mf for the unique, it would give you the failed unique?

Not quite. If the unique roll failed due to sheer chance, you'll just get a normal rare item instead (assuming that roll didn't fail also), instead of a failed unique. An example of a failed unique would be: the game drops an archon plate and rolls it as a unique. Of course, no unique archon plate exists, so the game drops a rare archon plate with triple the normal amount of durability instead.

What's the advantage of a failed unique vs. a normal rare. Is the qlvl higher?
Nothing, except for the mentioned triple durability. There are items without durability, like bows, jewels etc., so there's no way to find out which of them are failed uniques.

There are also failed set items which are magical instead, with double durability.
