I just beat the Resident Evil 5 demo/beta.
Its actually really good. Its only a two level demo, single player or co-op. But i played it on co-op, and sadly, i cant imagine this game being hardly any fun at all playing through it alone. It relies even more on action than Resident Evil 4 did, and at times it feels like its a shooter (until you run out of ammo lol). It reminds me of the combat system of Resident Evil 4, and the co-op system of Resident Evil Zero (awful game...).
For co-op, i think i will definitely pick this up. But it doesnt look too promising when it comes to single player. Then again, its the early version of the game, you never know.
My biggest complaint though is the controls. After playing Resident Evil 4 for the Wii, i could never have imagined going back to the regular controller to play a Resident Evil game. I just beat RE4 for the second time a few months ago, so im still used to those controls, which are far superior.
But i wasnt going to get this, if my buddy ends up getting the game, i will too. Co-op is a blast.

egeneration the other night and it looks awesome. I didn't know it was coming with co-op so that'll be pretty cool. What system did you play the demo on?
