I hope we see big and open maps...

    I hope we see big and open maps...

    Am i the only that felt that the gameplaytrailer showed to much narrow space, just courious because the big open spaces did make it so much nicer being in a party of 4+ members. I want to see something like blood moor or dry hills. Maps where there are more then one way to get to the end and big space to escape a nasty situation. I didnt see any of this in the gameplaytrailer.

    I hope they show some of this in the next videos.

    Agree.
    The first thought that came to my head when they entered the jungle was that it looks like a one way path. The whole thing about D2 was that you weren't bound to go anywhere. Yes, you had to proceed to the next Act/ complete the quest but there was no one way of gettting there, no one bridge you have to cross, no one monster you had to fight.

    No.

    I much preferred the feel of Diablo 1 over Diablo 2. I am not saying Diablo 2 was bad (i actually loved it) but the wide open spaces just didn't have the same feel as the often claustrophobic dungeons of the first game.

    Your kidding aren't you? The progression through the acts was almost completely linear. You start in Area 1, move to area 2, then 3, then 4. Apart from a lucky map seed in Act 3, you follow from one to the other, without being able to skip any areas.

    I noticed the scenes look like Baulder's Gate. So much of the screen looked inaccesable. This leaves very little room to manouver.

    Example: the barb is standing on top of a big cube, and you only get to walk on the top surface, so the other surfaces are kind of just for show. But I'm glad to see zombies climbing up the cube.

    Well i cant really see four or more characters moving trough that small environment in the gameplaytrailer, there can be a path to follow but please make it screen wide atleast.

    Didn't that whole gameplay trailer feature an enviroment "specifically for use as a teaser"?

    I thought the whole thing was rigged to show off the game.

    Random maps is Diablo's friggin' calling card, I'd bet money it's still there.
