I hate Flayer Jungle.

I must have gone over every inch of the place but still didn't find the waypoint nor the extra dungeon. What gives? And I vaguely remember this happening before in the distant past.

haha my fav place in the game

sometimes the map is HUGE though, so you can easily miss the paths through the woods so you'll just have to search harder

I hate that fookin place too man. Feelin you.

The exit from the jungle is always toward the top right, generally... that entire set of forests generally leads that direction. The dungeon and waypoints will be shooting off from the sides of the main path, look for areas that head up-right or down-left, and you'll find what you're looking for. The Flayer Jungle has three side-areas; One is the area with the Swampy Pit and the waypoint, another has an area that looks like the Swampy Pit place but has nothing, and then the little Flayer Village area with the gibdinn and the flayer dungeon.

Don't know if that helps, but hopefully so!

Probably. I scanned the game map as well, but didn't see anything special. Maybe I'll have too look closer for smal and unusual details.

Either way, it'll have to wait. The game went into slow-mo (not lag, 'cause the monsters were as slow as my merc and me) so I exited.

Also, is there any reason to go into the Great Marsh? Besides just for general adventurering?

Umm can't you get someone to give you the LK waypoint and then go backwards?

Maybe you're just gonna have to be trapped in the jungle.

Somtimes you need to leave the the Flayer Jungle to get in another part of it. I remember once the entrance to the side-area with the waypoint was actually in Great Marsh, the side-area itself was in the Flayer Jungle
I'm not sure but I think one map has no waypoint in the Flayer Jungle at all. Since everyone only run trough the woods, it may take a long time to proof it.

There is always a waypoint in flayer but sometimes flayer spider forest and great marsh do overlap.Ive found frequently having to hunt through great marsh to get to flayer jungle. The maps just seem to get messed up somehow.

yup, it's really annoying! that's the exact reason why i hardly ever go there.
the dungeons (flayer dungeon, swampy pit) are nice though!

pure masochistic pleasure only.
Says he who is about to venture in there himself with a empty-handed Zon wearing a cracked sash. :)

With WW-barbs, I enjoy the Flayer Jungle though. Good xp hiding in all those little infidels. Their knives are bigger then they are. FFXV : Minicloud ?

Isn't it much easier to run through the jungle, only stopping at the flayer jungle to get the brain (i think it's the brain) and that other place for the eye?

And just bypassing the WP's completely, b/c what are the chances of you revisiting the area at all?

Some people just like collecting all the waypoints just for the hell of it.
