I had a very productive morning today.

log on today with my lvl 14 hc charger, hoping to get a couple ears before I go to work, and ended up getting 7 ears, in less the an hour!

The first couple games netted me 2 lvl 16 ears, a sorc and a zon, and a lvl 18 ear, a barb. They were the typical "lol he's only 14 i'm going to kill him." They died fast...The next was a pk himself, terrorizing a couple of tristram runners. They were all hanging out by the edge of town, and the sin stepped out, I neatly charge him and take him out in 1 hit. The final game full of lvl 14-20 running through Rocky Waste. I hostile, run out, and manage to kill 2 of them within seconds of each other, lvl 16 and 19, a nec and a sorc.

And there ends my remarkably productive morning. Thank you for listing, Ret.

Right there with ya man, when its good its real good. My lvl 12 charger with really crappy gear has 22 ears in 3 days. Being less than lvl 15 gets more ppl to step out for sure. My guy has 530 max damage and 290 life. He could have 2x the damage with better gear, so I miss the ears that I lost. I think it would take me 3 times as long to get so many ears with a lvl 18 pally, since everyone knows they rock. Unfortunately my fireball sorc got pk'd by the same build (lvl 60 fireball sorc) but that pk used wp bypass so at least I know all my kills are legit. I thought it was kinda funny that a pk leveling (I was lvl 21 at the time) got killed by the exact same build though.

You sound just like me. I made this pally sunday, with extremely crappy gear besides my 120 dmg pike (rare i found). In the 3 days I've played him, I've collected 23 ears, most being lvl 15-20. I'll probably never make another lvl 18 pally, because of my sucess with this one.

umm how exactally is it "bug abuse"? as far as I am concerned (as well as several others) it is a feature of the game just like anything else

Wp bypass means they bypass the 10 second hostile timer.

If you can't work out how to do it, pm me and I'll tell you Nerf.

1 question to rettet181 and Mal - you guys don't use chicken right?

How could they. If they hostiled and had chicken on. Then they would in turn be running away from themselves. Which would be a paradox, wrapped in an enigma, stored inside of pandora's box. Something of this irony would indeed tear the very fabric from which we exist and bring about the destruction of the world as we know it.

yeah my level 18 paladin rarely gets into a fight other than duels, and duels he wins since he's a zealot and not a charger. imma gonna make a level 11 sacadin soon, teach everyone a little lesson about not having charge and still killing everyone that approaches me. just a few more jools to go.

Cougar,

just a quick rundown on chicken in dueling games. You are thinking of the chickeners who set it to hostile or whatever.
In dueling games it is very common and it works like this - usually the chickener hostiles after scanning your gear to make sure they think you are a noob and they can take you down.

Then you run out to blood moor to fight the chickener. You hit the chickener for a lot of damage which sets off their chickenlife value. They exit instantly sometimes mid-attack and rejoin within 3 seconds.
That's what I'm talking about.
Many "duelers" and lots of "pkers" use it (on West anyway).

Of course not.

The funnest part about pking is being legit and killing people who use hacks. Having some say "my chicken should have saved me" is the most fulfilling thing I ever hear from another player on B-net.

Update:

I now have 31 ears, 3 of them belonging to other chargers, 2 more belonging to other types of pk's, and many of them belonging to chickeners.

I was joking.

Very productive morning for me today. Gained 9 levels with my windy, and am now sitting at lvl 70

I ABSOLUTLY DO NOT use chicken or any other hack and it KILLS me when my victims whine and complain that I'm some sort of hacker. My best kill was recently when a sorc hit me with some sort of hack that made my screen jump around and blink. I think it was something that lagged me somehow. The sorc thought it worked better than it really did because she kept coming out to try to kill me. Eventually I got a lock on her and 1 hitted her. Once she died my screen went back to normal. We were both lvl 12 btw. I actually befnefit from others use of MH in that they scan my gear and laugh at the cheapness of my build, giving them the confidence to find their death in the blood moor. And Baranor, your suggestion of giving a warning before hostile has hit home, I find phrases such as "Watch out for pk's!" and "Free ears in the blood moor!" to be a riot prior to hostiling, thanks for the tip.

I had a productive time dueling on non-ladder last night. I rounded up all my decent gear and made my 86 Hammerdin into a Chargerdin. By the time I had finished he was doing 12k Charge with 1800 life. First game I went into there was a lvl 85 hammerdin using the usual Hoto, Enigma and Cta. We agree to a duel and deciding I was going to be slain I gave him my remaining Gul, Vex and Cham runes. He was surprised and he now also thought I was going to be slain. We decided on a loot duel as it seemed appropriate.

Round 1: I run outside and and start charging around. He runs out stands in one place casting hammers thinking im gonna try charge him like that. I keep running around and wait for him to start moving so I actually have a chance. He then teles towards me casting a couple of hammers after each tele. After a few teles I charge into him and he hits me with a hammer just before I hit him with a decent roll charge. He chicken exits and i'm left standing in the blood moor on 44 life out of 1800. I'm like "gee that was close" saved by his chicken lol.

Round 2: He re-enters and says "again". And i'm thinking great i'm dueling a chicken hacking hammer din with at least 10k Hammers. So of course I agree to another duel. Same sort of thing happens. He stands in one place casting hammers and I run around him in a large circle until he grows irritated and then comes after me. He then teles right on top of me and I start whacking away with my Bonehew. Hit him once and hes just above half health he then starts to run away (he obviously doesn't realise this is a no no when dueling chargers). Of course I then take advantage of the fleeing Chickadin and land a nice fat charge resulting in an 85 Ear and a chicken exit.

Of course I didn't get his gear but it was worth it in the long run.

Anyway hoped you enjoyed my little story and for all you Mhers:

USE REJUVS NOT CHICKEN

p.s I would have died in round 1 if he hadn't been using chicken :)
