I got my Zealot to Diablo

I'm Level 26, and I have broken myself trying to kill him. I don't recall struggling this much with my first zealot.

I have 71 Fire resist, throw up lightning aura to get me to 76 resist there and I have 37 cold resist.
I am using a mana leech warhammer, I have 420 defense, 313 attack rating with zeal and I do 52-82 dmg per strike, presumably. What am I doing wrong here?

Do you have any life leech?

Assuming you do, all you really need to do is plant yourself right next to big d and tape down your mouse button. It might be slow going but you'll kill him eventually.

I have a hammer I can equip; however he seems to burst me down through that plus pots despite that. I'll give it another go, I guess.

At that level and with those resists you shouldn't be having too many problems. Some life leech would definitely help you though.

If you are playing on USEast Ladder by chance, I'll give you a low level life leech ring for free. Pretty sure I got one someplace.

I did succeed with the life draining weapon (and a ton more cash for pots.) Thanks for the help. Another quick question or two. Do the balrog packs always kill you and how can you effectively counteract the power of curses?
