I found Hexfire!!

I found the unique shamshir Eth Hexfire  With the eth mod on it you could only like use it on a sorc it does more damage than my current sword on my Whirlwind Barb LVL 42 but i don't want it to break :(. Found it on Normal Baal Players 5 I think. I'll try to check that probality with ATMA.

I have a Trapsin that used dual Bartuc's. One of them was eth. I equiped it at level 42 and Mat'd at level 84. I only used up 4 durability points on it. Of course her main attack is traps but the claws also do alot of blocking.
I used to save alot of things for fear of losing them forever. But I have put things into perspective. How long am I going to play Diablo? Probably not long enough to use up the most elite items I allready own. To paraphrase what I just said you can "use it or lose it'" or "not use it and lose it". If I have a superb eth weapon and no zod, I'll put a good jewel or rune in it and be on my way. 0 durability here I come!

Always fun to find low-level uniques that are useful on your way through Normal Difficulty (too bad it's ethereal though)... just wait till you get to Nightmare and Hell difficulties... soon you'll be wondering what you even saw in that sword. Congrats on the find and may this be a sign of a fruitful MFing career for your character.

I've actually used hexfire all the way through NM and into hell actII. The +3 fire skills have made a lot of difference for my meteorb sorc. on switch i have a tal's that adds +2 to cold mastery, and i find that the +skills on different items work well depending on what immunes i'm facing at the time.

no, i agree that it is a useful item, even beyond normal difficulty. I've re-read my first sentence and can see how it is misleading... i did not mean it was useful through normal... but rather that it is fun finding useful uniques (in any difficulty) while fighting through normal.

A couple of weeks ago, I found a rare circlet that was like a cross between a Harley and a Gaze: +2 to Amazon Skills, +9 Minimum Damage and 7% dual leech, but it was ethereal. I'll eventually use it, but I think I'd probably just leave it in the mule forever once the durability gets down to 1.

If you're an Amazon, you're likely to be a ranged attacker who doesn't get hit much, if at all . . . that hat should last a long time.

The +2 fire skills, +2 meteor rare orb my Sorc has is probably better, though. :)
