I found a 39/15 RJoF, but what on earth do I do with it?

Uh. Well. I don't know what to do now.

It's been a while since I was last here -- just about five years. A few Jahs, Bers, Chams, and other crazy stuff I expected to never see pre-1.13 have since dropped, decking me out with some pretty godlike gear.

But not like this. I've never even seen one of these in my fourteen years of sporadic Diablo II single player.

I don't know what to do with it. Upped perfect Ribcracker for Fury druids? Bowazon circlet? A really good Crown of Ages?

I really don't know what people use it for. Please give me some suggestions -- whatever you can offer me.

Hey, welcome back. I can't say that I remember you (67 posts and all :wink:,) but many of us are still sporadic D2'ers. I too have played on and off since D2 was released, with long breaks, but the SPF has kept me around for so long now.
Congrats on your drop, by the way!

To answer your question, I don't know. Keep it in your stash? If you're sporadic like me, it probably won't matter - it'll be used, and then gather E-dust. My point is: use it in what you will find enjoyable for a certain character, or item. The Upp'd perfect Ribby is definitely a good option if you have it and has some varied options too - it's definitely a powerful weapon. But that's mainly if you love Fury Druids or want to make a Sept of Ribby chars.

If you want to PvP, it may be useful in other items as well though (but which, I don't know as I don't PvP.) What are you goals? Do you want to use it to compliment PvP gear; are you happy using it on one character; do you want to use the item on multiple characters/types?

Hey, thanks! I wasn't really here all that much; I was active only a month or two. I still lurk a lot, and it's my go-to place for build ideas, optimization, and item discussion. The single player forum is especially good, because people here take item optimization seriously, which is exactly what you want when your resources are so limited.

At this point I'm just keeping it in my stash. It would be good for my Bowazon, but even then I don't have the item I'd want to put it in. An upped Ribcracker would be fine also, but I'm already working on getting the HRs to make this guy, at which point the RJoF would be stashed away again, so for a Fury druid I would probably need to find a helmet that works with the breakpoints I'm trying to reach (and really, I prefer to Um my Jalal's, anyway).

I either want to find the best possible use for it (such as an item that would either be used by multiple classes, or one that's considered top/god tier for a particular build), or I want to keep it in my stash.

My MF characters such as my Poisonmancer, Sorceresses, or Hammerdin don't need it, and it would be suboptimal on my Javazon w/Faith cow/area runner (only really increasing Faith damage, which is a backup switch on this character). Really the characters that benefit the most from RJoF are physical damage specific characters like Bowazons, Fury druids, and various PD builds I don't frequently play. That's part of why I don't know what to do with it.

Only place where you won't regret wasting such jewel is ethereal tomb reaver. Granted, those don't grow on trees, and having to find Zod, another jewel and eth tomby is quite a task. Still, it looks like you aren't really in rush so don't waste it on something silly as ribcracker or another generic unique item. 3os/30 FRW tiara comes close second in my book with 3 x ed/ias jewels, but that's strictly pvp thing. Nothing that 1.07 Valk Wing wouldn't beat for pvm. There are also those beyond sick rare items that you see only in showoff threads, but if you had such item you probably wouldn't be asking on advice how to use it.

Save it for better day when you actually know how you want to use it. Only use at the moment would be to try and trade it for something you need right now and that's meh.

I used a 24/15 ( I think? ) in a 343 ed rare scissors suwayyah with +2 skills, to get max whirlwind speed.
But yeah uses for these are pretty rare.

What happened to the forum by the way.
