I finally got Duriel!

I finally got Duriel!

I just wanted to say that after hours as a newbie clicking away at monsters and listening to you guys' advice I finally killed Duriel with my level 26 barb and level 20 defensive merc. He killed my merc twice. I had to leave the lair once to get more potions and restore health, but he never killed me. The second time I came in I was bashing away at him over and over with a +4 life steal ring on each hand, a mace, a half-freeze amulet, and a good 66% blocking bone shield. He finally went down just as I was using my last potion. Thanks for all of your advice, guys - I would have quit this game if not for the help. Now please tell me the other bosses aren't this tough....

congrats of defeating duriel for the first time!!

good luck on defeating her/him (rumor that duriel is a she...) in nightmare and hell difficutly!!

also, females have milk sacks and egg sacks.... How many male names end in iel? Andariel is definitely female, Izual is male. I'd say Duriel is female.

How about Daniel? For a female, his voice sure is low. Must be a heavy smoker. Also, there were no lacy curtains in his den.

Congrats on the kill,

But you will notice that every act you pass the end bosses will become tougher. But then again you will level up along the way so you should be getting stronger as well. Hopefully you'll find a nice item which will help you get past the acts.

Mephisto shouldnt be a problem if you melee him, the council could give you more trouble then meph. Diablo should be your next real challange.
