I don't understand...

Why was The 3 Socket Phaseblade Thread deleted??

It was a perfectly sound idea. Anyone who finds or needs a 3 socket phaseblade for a Crescent Moon to be made for a Tesladin posts on here. The emphasis was that the phase blades should be donated or offered for a very low cost.
THIS IS NOT A TRADE THREAD

The reason why it was not placed in a more general area was because everyone would just flood in asking for stuff and never offer any. The Paladin forum is a closely knit community in contrast, that would never exhibit this type of behavior.

I am astounded that a mod has made the decision to quash the livelihood of Tesladins everywhere; I urge him/her to reconsider.

Right on.

Perhaps the mod that deleted it has never tried to make a tesladin. Tesladin Zealots are pretty much the only chars in the game who need otherwise-charsi-fodder-3-sckt-phaseblades. Add to this that they are EXTREMELY hard to acquire as noone finds/keeps them. When posted in the Paladin forums it may actually alert someone useful. For example someone who has found one and was saving it but needs it no longer, or alternativly someone who already has a Cresent Moon pb and needs it no longer. Only Pallies are interested in this kind of stuff and so I think that makes it Pally-forum worthy IMHO.

No matter who you email, you jsut violated forum rules by remaking a closed or deleted thread. Same thing about people getting banned. If something was locked, deleted, or banned - it had a reason, so dont whine. An email to Elly without this thread would have been the better choice.

How did I remake the old thread by asking why it was deleted? How am I whining if I'm calmly and logically approaching the matter? Sorry but the only person whining is the one complaining about this thread.

I don't care if you must go around censoring in order to achieve a sense of power, but I'm still going to give out 3 socket phaseblades to needy Tesladins here after I get my own, and there's nothing you can do about it.

I have this picture in my mind of a bully overturning the collection cans of street people and ripping up their money. This is a damn shame.

In the druid forum, I allow reasonable posting of certian types of hard to find druid items (for example, a +6 grizzly pelt--exremely rare but not exactly godly) if you ask in advance, I think that is fair enough here. Just ask a mod in advance, then say in the thread you got permission and its not a normal trade thread.

Why it was deleted is easy: It's considered OT, and if you want to post an OT thread you need to ask the mod for permission first, else they have the right to delete the thread. If your thread get's deleted, don't make a new thread about, this will only annoy the mod, you should PM him and explain why you feel it was wrong what he did. But the most important part: asking for permission.

I do think it's a nice initiative, but even then you should do it the legitimate way

yep, like garb said, it's not unprecedented to allow certain items to be traded in character forums, like throwing weaps in barb forum or rare pelts in druid, but you usually need specific permission or need to check in advance, which is me just repeating what everyone else said, so just calm down and wait to hear back from someone, this is made more complex by the absence of an assigned mod, but hopefully it gets worked out as 3 socket phase does seem a predominantly paly weapon to the extent that this could be approved of
