HydraOrb Sorc Help please? =D

    HydraOrb Sorc Help please? =D

    Hiya, I'm making a hydraorb sorc, I was wondering if you could all tell me your opinions on what to get for equipment?

    My build is:
    Str: Not sure, want to help me out?
    Dex: Base
    Vit: Rest into vit
    Energy: Probably 100 or so..atm I'm saving all my stat points to see when I'm about lvl 80 how much I'll need in this...Want to help me and give me an answer for this also?

    For skills:
    Hydra 20
    Firebolt 20
    Fireball 20
    Warmth 1
    Firemastery
    Frozen Orb: 20
    Cold Mastery: 1
    Teleport: 1
    Static: 1
    I think this puts me at lvl 90 about but not sure...

    If you want to help me yout, that would be great!

    Your skill setup looks just fine. I would not put any points into Energy. Just get your Act2 Merc an Insight runeword in a 4so Scythe or better Polearm and you will have no mana problems anymore. Until you can get that Mercenary simply drink potions and practice some melee skills. In Act 1 normal difficulty you can usually hit monsters and actual deliver damage without much assistance.

    If you must, don't invest more than 50-75 points into Energy.

    Everything else looks just fine!

    Thanks melianor, but I have a question, how much strength should I probably need for some of the best equipment for a sorc so I dont waiste any points that I could have put in vitality? Thanks =D

    build looks good, no problem with your skill distro

    for gear - my preference is Full Tal set + Magefists + Spirit Shield. That leaves your boots and rings open. SOJ's or Nagels are popular for rings - War Trav's are good boots for MFing.

    SOJ's and Spirit both give you a good boost to mana, so I'll chime in with Melianor that you really don't need much +energy at all. +25-50 should be plenty. I'd say leave it at base if you can. Life is more important that mana.

    Spirit shield does take 156 str. War Trav's will help with that (they come with +10 str). Other than that unless you get some on a ring or anni/torch you'll need to make up the difference with stat points.

    STR: 146 (minus whatever you have on torch/anni)
    Dex: None
    Vit: Everything Else
    Energy: None (+25-50 if you must)
