hybrid weapon switch

is it a general rule as a hybrid to not have 2 different weapon setups for each skill? as opposed to 1 weapon setup for both skills?

Generally you have Call To Arms on switch, since the benefits it gives out weigh most of the benefits to your second skill that you could recieve. Of course there are exceptions, such as Bow/Jav hybrids, but usually CTA is a safe bet.

The most common weapon switch used by a hybrid is on a bowazon hybrid, which uses Faith as one weapon and Eth Titans/ Stormshield on the other. Some paladin builds make their CTA in a scepter with +FoH and +Conviction, or alternatively other useful skills (the FoH one is the most common).

Hybrid sins generally just use claws, with CTA on switch. Good claws will give a higher bonus to trap damage than Hoto/Spirit anyway.
