hurricane damage on weapon switch

Anybody know if the hurricane's damage to monsters changes if u do a weapon switch in case u are using ice rbfs in your previous weapon, because of the -ice resistance?

To my understanding, its the following:

You cast Hurricane with switch 1 for say 1000 damage (even number for example)

You switch to weapon 2

It stays at 1000 since its a pre-cast spell.

The only difference would be if the - res were on switch 2. In which case it would then be applied with the 1000 from the switch 1 cast. It will not add the plus damage part to it though.

So does this mean that for Armagaedon... you can cast with HOTO/Spirit and flash with 6os 30/-30% PB & 20/-20%monarch and the -% will take affect but not the +%?

What? Want a more detailed answer?

-res checks on hit, not cast. +damage checks on cast, not hit. So facets +damage will only work if present during the cast while -res will work whenever the attack connects.
