How's this for an Elemental Hunter runeword?
No, this isn't a real runeword. Still, considering all the not-yet-used rune item names in the runes.txt file, I'm wondering if Blizzard might end up running a contest for new runewords. If they ever do, something like this might be my entry...
Flickering Flame
Sur-Ist-Pul-Nef-Vex
Use 5-socket bows/crossbows
Bonuses from the runes:
--Blinds foe
--+30% chance of getting magic items
--175% damage and +100 AR vs. demons
--Knockback
--7% mana steal
From the proper order:
--+3-5 Slow Missiles (all characters)
--+2 all fire skills
--+2 all ally skills (i.e. anything that summons a minion--everything but Raven for Druids; Shadow Warrior and Shadow Master for Assassin; Valkyrie for Amazon; Raise Skeleton, Skeleton Mage, Revive, and the various Golemim for Necromancer)
--+35% attack speed
--155-195% damage
--40-90 fire damage
--+30% cold resist
Admittedly, this is a rough sketch. Some things I'm worried about...
--No pierce (I sacrificed this, actually, for Slow Missiles, and couldn't figure out how to fit it back in)
--Too many distinct abilities (I'm trying to avoid the power-gaming scheme)
--On the other side, would this actually be useful? For instance, would it be a viable alternative to Faith or Harmony?
--May want to make this four runes, removing either Ist or Vex.
