How would rune master be for a zealot? If it was etheral, and you zodded it, and then added some ed/ias jewels, and maybe a ber or two, could it qualify as a zealot weapon? It also adds cbf, which frees up a ring slot. Or is grief just too overpowered?

Well, I really like Rune Master first of all.

It seems to me, though, that by the time you added enough runes/jewels to make it godly, you could have just got yourself a grief, which will probably be better anyways.

it all depends what ur zealot is for mainly, imo. for pvp is a great weapon; imo it rivals ebotdz/edc zealot in gm pvp of course. but for pvm grief just pretty much beat most weapons out there. However, in pvp melee games, greif is consider bm. just make sure u have enough ias to reach the last break zeal break point if ur gonna use the rune master, and if my memory is correct i believe u would need a good amount of ias jewels. so, if u have a lvl 27 fant, u need about 80%ias. so most likely u need 4 ias/ed jewels in the rune master and 2 more of those socketed somewhere else; ideally would be in a 2os COA. if u ask me, is it worth the trouble getting those jewels to socket, yes. just make sure the rest of ur equipment are well balance for what ever ur zealot is made for.

i always fancied the idea of socketing a 5s 270%ed eth rune master with a zod and 4 Ohm runes (->200%ed). The thing would have 470%ed

Would be cool... but good? No. Worthwhile? No. Pricey? Yes!
