There is no 100% safe way to trade anni's or gheed's. This topic has been addressed a number of times here as well. Some of the safer means are:

Have someone with lots of posts on this forum act as a moderator to the trade. (Ask nicely and they may help you)

Do a drop trade with traders in act 1 on opposite sides of the long wall next to the potion lady (her name escapes me at the moment) and both should walk at the same pace around the wall. If the other trader backtracks or starts running, pick up your item and do not trade with him. Never do a drop trade in a game that allows more than 2 people to enter, or with characters higher than lvl one- for your safety. Though there are some complicated in-town hacks which allow a player to move through walls, tents, etc. so the first option is the preferred method.

As for actual stats of the charm, this requires taking screen shots and make sure you are in the picture when its posted (You can use AIM for this), and dont trade if the other trader goes back to his stash afet showing you the screenshot

I could actually use a gheeds charm; what realm are you in? So if you want, contact me with what you are looking for; I have more on non-ladder than ladder, but let me know.

Go down to the trade forums and look for one. That's how i did it and i had no problems (not that i expected any). Doesn't get much safer than that.

keep in mind that doing drop trades are dangerous since some chars run very fast... paladins with vigor (chars equipping that vigor-giving runeword too), burst of speed at assassins, barbs with increased speed... be careful

I'd definitely recommend trading with people on these forums - not 100% foolproof, but a large majority are honest, reliable people. The thing with other methods is that they can claim it to be a 40% gheeds and when you pick it up (assuming it's a successful trade) you might find it worth so much less than what you paid for.

There also a few irc channels that speicalise in trade. I don't really want to advertise here but you can find them on quakenet diablo trading rooms for europe. The ops there can also act as a neutral judicator
