how to play without a cd?

im wanting to know how do i play diablo without my cd. I have the cd's dont get me wrong its just that when in lets say balls chamber trying to kill his minions my cd gathers information causing me to generally lagg for a few seconds (enough to kill ma sorc on occasions ).

any help would be appreciated.

Copy the D2MUSIC file from your LOD cd to your diablo ii folder. Then once you start the game up just eject the cd after the game loads. You will need the cd in whenever you want to restart diablo.

Or make an image from the play disk, and mount this on a virtual drive. Then put the cd back in it's case.

I'm morally on your side, but you should know that you have to overcome the copy protection which might be illegel where you live.
