...

Really?

Taco shell, meat, sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese.

If you mean how do you make the meat, buy a pound of ground beef and a packet of taco seasoning. It'll have instructions.

I make my own Big Macs. The defining characteristic there being the "secret" sauce.

What do you think the defining characteristic of a Taco Bell taco is? Cheap meat?

You mean the Thousand Island dressing?
I make mine with mayo, french dressing, sweet relish, diced onion, and sugar.

I don't know what's in thousand island, but if those are the ingredients, then yes, I guess I do in a roundabout way.

yay now i can make my own bigmacs :D
Hoo hoo! Lucky you!

I think those prefabricated, cardboard taco shells and the low grade, week old beef in their special seasoning is what really makes the whole thing work.

If you get the shells and one of those seasoning packets at the grocery you can get pretty close. If you're crazy, you can try your own hand at making a seasoning recipe, but...you reach that point where it's probably cheaper and easier to just go to TB.

Tacos made at home, any tacos, are 100x better than any crap you get at Taco Bell. Just like any cheeseburger you make at home will be 100x better than any crap you get at McDonalds. Now making a fried chicken breast sandwich as good as you can get at ChickFilA at home would be considerably more difficult.

Re: how to make taco bell tacos!

1. Buy some generic taco shells at the local supermarket. Open the bag and let it sit for 1 week.
2. Go to your local animal shelter. Pick out the sickliest looking animals. The species of the animal is unimportant. In fact, you may want to pick a few different animals for an authentic Taco Bell experience. Have them put down and take the meat to a butcher.
3. Fill a pot with oil. If you have a deep-fryer that you haven't cleaned in a while, use the oil from there. Cook the meat in the oil.
4. Put the meat in the taco shell. Add lettuce and cheese. If you or one of your friends has long black hair, add some of that as well. Let it sit under a heat lamp for 30 minutes before serving.

Enjoy! You now have authentic Taco Bell tacos.

It still seems really weird to me to have fast food tacos.

Re: how to make taco bell tacos!

Maybe I've just had bad experiences :)scratchchin:) but Chick-fil-A is not that good at all.

It is also a slight possibility that we just have a differing opinion on it!

In fact, I am going to get it for lunch today. Mmmmmmm.

It does have to be fresh though. The biggest problem with ChickFilA is that to deal with business, they premake everything and it can be sitting under the heat lamps for a significant amount of time. But a freshly fried chicken sandwich with freshly fried waffle fries are easily the best fast food (tallest midget) out there.
