How to make a good start

Hey, I just switched over to Europe for a new start, starting with absolutely nothing. So far i've built a FO/ES sorc, what's the best way to get enough currency to buy some basic gear for L?

I could
1) Cow run and pick up flawless, cube into P gems (are p gems worth much on L?)
2) Countess Run and cube runes (kind of hard with limited mana)
3) Meph Run on NM (kind of hard to survive)

Im not looking to make 10 zods overnight. Just enough to buy whistans/wizpike/some +sorc ammy, etc. Suggestions appreciated

Europe migth be a SLIGHT little bit different in values. Certainly you are NOT going to make 10 zods over night :lol: Good humour though :thumbsup:

PGems are nice value on Europe Ladder. NIghtmare Mephisto is also a good choice. Countess can take long to reap you something good.

I have started to do exactly what you are doing on SC L East. Yes, Pgems are excellent currency in East/West (I assume it's the same for Europe). In West all of the items you mention can be had for maybe 20-30 Pgems at the most.

My beginning strategy is to hook myself up with low level runewords (have stealth, working on lore). I have been doing a few NM countess runs. Yes, I have been drinking blue potions like there is no tomorrow, especially with base mana (insane I know).

Ultimately I believe I will acquire the equipment I need via Pgems and a few MF runs. Then I intend to do many nightmare hellforge rushes to acquire some retirement booty.

Nm meph / countess / andy / cow is the way to go for L starters, or so I heard from my cousin.

Never made a char over lvl 20 in L, but from what I been seeing Pgems worth extremely more than they do in NL. (but that isn't saying much isn't it, because they're basically free in NL)

Almost any ladder char can start off with Pgems, I think NM Meph is a wise idea as well, and as soon as you can Hell Andy, she always drops well for me :lol:
