How to get manaleech?

My first character, a sorceress just reached hell, but is struggling due to lack of good equipment, so I decided to do a few(probably a 100) nightmare mephisto runs. Since she only has 50% mf I found only a few nice things, one of them beeing "riphook" bow. I decided that my next character will be a pit-runner strafer. I have a problem though. I have no manaleech ideas for her. If I had steal skull, or vampires gaze it wouldn't be a problem, but I don't  . The only thing I can think of is socketing riphook with perfect skull. That would net me a whooping 3% mana leech. YAY!! :badteeth: , but that probably won't be enough and it will generally be a wasted socket  . Some easy to get mana leech solutions, please?...
thanks for your help :wink3:

You can gambe rings and amulets with ML - You should be able to gamble a dual leech ring too.

Tal Rasha's Crest also has dual leech, I have a few so can spare one if you could use it.

Tal Rasha's Horadric Crest
Death Mask
Defense: 125
Durability: 20 of 20
Required Strength: 55
Required Level: 66
Item Version: 1.10+ Expansion
Item Level: 87
Fingerprint: 0x943877b5
+60 to Life
+30 to Mana
+45 Defense
All Resistances +15
10% Life stolen per hit
10% Mana stolen per hit

Manald Heal ring also leeches mana - but I don't have a spare.

A Manald heal would do the job, I would've thought you'd have found a few of them with that many NM Meph runs.

Manald Heal
Ring
Required Level: 15
Item Version: 1.10 Expansion
Item Level: 20
Fingerprint: 0xe9991e1c
+20 to Life
Regenerate Mana 20%
7% Mana stolen per hit
Replenish Life +6

Pretty nice starter item. I have a few spare if you don't mind giveaways/trades.

I could give you this one if your making her in HC. It's my best, and I got it (and 5 others) running hell andy for a decent unique ring (SoJ's and above.) I never actually got any of them though. :(

Manald Heal
Ring
Required Level: 15
Item Version: 1.10+ Expansion
Item Level: 49
Fingerprint: 0x4fcb3055
+20 to Life
Regenerate Mana 20%
7% Mana stolen per hit
Replenish Life +8

Crescent Moon Amulet is also nice, but I would recommend the Tal's Mask, probably one of the best helms in the game, shame it's so damn ugly....

Also, Windforce grants ML if you get lucky

Tal's Mask or Vampire's Gaze would be one of the best out there.
For Sorc, Tal's set would be very good too.

But why would you want Mana Leech (which needs physical blows to leech)?
As a sorc, your main aim should be +mana per kill since you'll be using magic spells and not physical blows...
Read the first post again... :wink3:

If you're RWM you could always put Ral+Tir+Tal+Sol in a 4os Polearm. It's quite possibly the easiest way to solve mana problems and it even works against skeletons!

Many feel Insight is "taking the easy way out," and others it seems would be even more horrified by using one on a non Sorc character. But it really is an easy solution to mana problems if you aren't against it.

Just my thoughts, since most of the other mana leech gear has already been suggested.

thanks for the responses guys.
I found a pair of nice mana leech gloves :

Plague Touch
Demonhide Gloves
Defense: 41
Durability: 8 of 12
Required Strength: 20
Required Level: 27
Item Version: 1.10+ Expansion
Item Level: 59
Fingerprint: 0xe891a56e
+16% Enhanced Defense
Fire Resist +23%
3% Mana stolen per hit
10% Increased Attack Speed
5% Chance to cast Level 3 Frost Nova when struck

and ended up not using it... 2 frame strafe is addicting
I don't think I will ever give it up...
My Strafeazon named "DakkaDakka" have just hit lvl 33, and she does great so far. oh well... no wonder.. she's twinked  .Just finished hellforge, and go Amn... hope other helforges will go just as well.
She uses riphook, duskdeep, sigons gloves, boots and belt as well as angelic ammy, rings and armor. not the best equip, but she's got good life leech (18%) and quite a bit of mana (146) so mana leech actually turned up to be a minor problem...
I must say Im really glad with her so far. She does the same damage as my frenzy barb did at this stage of the game, except for the fact that with 2 frame attack...
thanks for your offers Dark Matter and Shadow Druid, but I decided to go more or less self found.

A tiny bit of ml should be enough, one manald is almost overkill, sure riphook's power is not in pure damage (which leech is based on) but have you noticed all those arrows that's fired? One right-click for what, like 10 mana?, should easily get back-leeched with 10 hits even if you only have like 3% ml.

hello Zarfen, long time no see.
Can't imagine my dissapointment when I got back and saw that the LLD died out... Rebuilding my bear anyway

(On Topic)
that's my first strafezon, so I was kinda worried, but When I actually played her a bit, noticed that even with no mana leech, mana isn't a problem. The skill is really cheap manawise... The only thing I find uncomfortable is lack of stamina when going base-vita...

You can always chug a couple of inventories worth of stamina potions before you head out. Each one gives you 30 seconds of full stamina, and the durations stack. (Cheesy but effective. )

Thanks Cattleya!... even though I often stacked thawing potions and antidotes, I would never think about using stamina potions in such way...
works great!
