How to find a (Superior) Phase Blade with 3 sockets?

Shopping, running some area, rack whatever. What gives me the best odds?

I find a LOT of socketed Phase Blades in Hell cows. That'd be the best place if you can survive it.

The less MF the better, as the chances of socketed items dropping is better the less mf you wear. I would run areas with a lot of monsters in a dense area.

flayers have a good chance to drop white or socket phase blades in the flayer dungeons, and because theres a loads of the buggers you can get 1 quite easy. and ive noticed alot from the moo moo farm as well.

Bloody Foothills while wearing no MF tends to drop a lot of socketed stuff, I've noticed.

I have a very good solution for you. It won´t yield a superior one, but you have very good chances of getting a 3-socketed one.

1. Find a low quality/cracked/crude Phase Blade.

2. Fix it with the low quality weapon + Eld rune + chipped gem recipe. This sets the item level of the sword to 1, which is important for the next step, because Phase Blades with ILVL=1 can have a maximum of 3 sockets.

3a. Socket it with the "weapon + Ral rune + Amn rune + perfect amethyst" recipe. You have 2/3 chance to get 3 sockets.

3b. Socket it with the socket reward to be certain of getting 3 sockets.
