How to deal w/ PhyLi immune? I made a javazon that demolishes all cows expcet for physical/light immune. Light immunes are pretty irriating and common in the cow levels too. What skill should i use against them? Cold arrow? Cuz i just found a windforce in ancient tunnels the other day...
1. demon limb enchant charges + jab 2. demon's arch+tiamat's rebuke on switch + jab i like and have used 1, no switching mid battle. i hear 2 is good.
The dreaded LI/PI's. I like to have a Bow with a very high damage/ high duration of poison on the switch (try socketing a couple PEmeralds and a couple Tal runes in the same bow- that usually does the trick). If you're lucky and can get more sources of poison somewhere else. . .all the better. Stick 'em a few times. . .the Merc and Valk go clean up the mess. Simple as that. Personally, I've never had a monster spawn LI/PI and Poison immune at the same time. I know it's possible, but very rare. Hope this helps. . .
use harmony? harmony owns the crap out of pi/fi as well, much less the version that's vulnerable to fire arrow
1. run away. 2. Jab or throw with Atma's Scarab. 3. Strafe with Atma's Scarab, when Amplie kicks in, jab or throw. 4. Call a sorc friend...
ugh unless you've dedicated some stats, thought, skills, w/e to bow i'd toss it and stick with javs. i'm going to put demon limb enchant + jab in my signature it works and only requires prebuffing so you can stash it and keep say cta on switch if you're into that. the ultimate LI killer is infinity on your merc but mercs and cows dont play well together and sometimes it wont break the unique's immunities.
:azn: If I'm not mistaken, you can use a miniscule amount of elemental damage (like Ravenfrost) to reduces the monster below full health, then any Open Wounds you have or your Merc has will be able to take effect (since Open Wounds is not damage but negative life regen). Probably not the most effective way of dealing with phys/light immunes, but certainly another option for anyone who doesn't have a Demon Limb or Demon's Arch.
Just curious- If I am using Poison to damage, not the bow itself, what stats would I have to allocate that would be any different? The ranged weapon keep you out of danger better than melee-ing with jab. High poison damage from a javelin would be tough without allocating some skill points, but not with a socketed bow. I'm not disagreeing with you, just curious about your comment.
i was implying that if you're going to put a bow on a pure javazon then you may as well make a hybrid. also i dont usually have max block on a pvm javazon so you MAY have to add dex to use a bow depending on which one. also how much ar does a javazon typically have? mine tend to have whatever comes with 1 penetrate +skills which is low for a bow, imo. as for staying back my javazons have always had 1k+ life so i had no problem mixing it up with the usually uniqe and alone (after fury takes care of the rest) LI/PI. my normal routine with a pure java was to throw throw throw then cs anyway so when i came up on a LI/PI i'd just switch to jab instead of cs.
I see. Good point. I also have about 1k+ life, and usually don't have trouble in the fray, but I do like to steer clear of the LE/MS types. Also, I've found that the mulitiple immune types usually (if not always in hell) have auras, too. Another reason I like to stay back and plunk with a poison bow and let the Valk and Merc duke it out with 'em. A conviction aura (or fanatisism) on a LI/PI or LE/MS is a big pain in the butt. But I see your point, too. The a/r may be a bit low. . .but I've really never had a problem hitting stuff. I think I'll try switching to a Demon's arch+tiamats and see how I like it. Sounds like a good idea.
wrath bow + 1point strafe imo with torch, a 3 base skills in matri plenty for decrifing away :azn: then atleast youve got time to sort out what your doing etc
