How to counter Druid's weakness in PvP
Hello,
I'm currently raising a Weredruid, and will probably try him in high-end PVP after some duels i've done in mid-leveling.
It seems to me the weredruid (be it bear or wolf) has some nice features that make him not that sucky in the end. More HP than just about anybody, big damage, and some summons to help along.
However, the druid's biggest weakness seems to be its speed. Druids are slow, have no teleport or jump or whatever to catch up with running opponents, and are basically big ugly furryballs that get peppered with arrows and spells.
So... I was looking at the Druid tree, wondering what could help give us an edge in this area. I've narrowed it down to two skills. Please bear in mind that I'm pretty new, so my ideas are probably stupid - don't hesitate to tell me so.
Since we cannot go faster, we need minions who can. There are two minions that can actually catch an opponent unguarded: Crows, and Poison Creeper. Both are sucky, both are 1st level, both have crappy damage.
However, they have the incredible advantage of hitting without warning and without the opponent being able to do something about it. Poison Creeper is very vulnerable when out of ground, but your opponent will have to pay attention to it (thus giving you precious seconds to pound him) if he wants to destroy it. And crows are, well, untargettable.
So, before I totally screw up my setup, could anyone tell me whether PC or Crow might have *any* interest in PvP ? Damage isn't much but it all adds up and it might very well disturb my opponents.
Any opinion ?
