How to beat a GG Smiter with my WW Barb

problem is on a wand you dont get high lvl tap, and also if you cant hit the smiter a lot then the lt is useless.

I have seen 2 smiters on ladder that dont lose to barbs, exception me but the duels were very close , and they didn't even use exiles.

unfortunatly the secrets of tele-smite are spreading rapidly and a lot of them do use exiles. bvb games are regularly being ruined by them :cry:

i have met a couple who dont use tap at all. however, they tend to be particularly good duellers.

is knockback useful against them i wonder? clegs anyone?

Not sure about knockback but slow would definitely help I guess (theorycrafting here to be honest :smiley

A friend of mine says that knockback also works well vs smiters (from a smiter perspective) but the barb needs to be a decent one (life/ar/dr/whirls) duh :smiley:

Fortunately the counter for a smiter is a hammerdin or bone necro, which are in ample supply on west, so the poor BvBs shouldn't have to worry too much.

yes you can use clegs + doom flashing, enchant and angelics,

have you been into a BvB game on West Ladder lately?

they are constantly being invaded teams of nec's, nub'dins and smithy's who trash what was often a rather enjoyable round of BvB.

i've even had such tools invade private BvB games with their es-orb-block-tank sorc's, auradins, hammerdins and you name it because they couldn't handle the fact their barbs sucked.

west ladder BvB tourney/GM duelling group anyone?

OT: I sometimes join the BvB games for precisely that reason, they attract casters who pick on the BvBs. I in turn pick on the casters, and the BvBs tend to appreciate it. At least if the necros/fb sorcs/hammerdins are running from a ghost they can't be messing with barbs. Anyway, lets keep this on Smiter vs. WW Barb, feel free to make a BvB group, I think it'd be cool .

yes i seem to have the same problem against smiters with my BvC. I don't bm with doom, but what i find kills me is the life tap. Without tap im sure id kill em ez but i seem to have bad luck and first hit they get taps me :'(

I dont know if these Smiters had 50%dr or not, but casting IM on their head with my MetalGrid seems to work great :grin:

Of course 90% of the time they'll just run to town, but it sure irritates them.
