How to access my D2LOD without disc?

Hello!

So my friend broke my discplayer in the computer, and it doesnt open anymore. Hhow can i boot D2 lod withouth using my cd for it? its allready installed yadda yadda but it still says "insert expansion disc".

I really want to play it :thumbup:

google it, there was a way to move files from A-B and not have to use the disc at one time.

That'd only work if the files were copied in advance. I think the only legal way is getting either a replacement drive (they're around 20 dollars), or if you're not comfortable with computer hardware get an external one for.... double it and just plug it in a USB slot.

Go to your Battle.net account page. You'll see a "Games & Codes" menu at the top. Open it and select "Add a Game Key". Enter your D2 CD Key first, then your Lord of Destruction CD Key. After this you should be able to download the installers for both games from Battle.net. You'll have to use new Game Keys during installation however, which is shown on the download page for both games.

D2 won't need the CDs to run if you reinstall it this way and you won't have to copy anything, other than your characters from your previous installation. You do need to install the latest patch though, since this new LOD installer only updates the game to 1.12a.
