How strong can a valk be?

How strong can a valk be?

I know the common wisdom is to get Valk to level 17 with +skills so it can spawn with the best armor. Is it worth the skills to max Valk? How much damage can she pump out if she was say level 27 with a might merc?

its the elite weapon not best armor. Maxing valk could prove to make your valk stronger than she already is. If there is no other use for those 10 skill points then go ahead and max it.

Max penetrate if you want your valk to do lots of damage. And decoy will make your valk get more life.

Valks tend to have tons of life and crappy damage. This doesn't change much with +skills or her synergies. She just isn't a killer, just a perfect tank.

Completly incorrect.

A long time ago in a realm far away I played a passive only Valk and she killed everything up to Hell Diablo. the biggest problems were Bone Knights that cursed her with IM. She would kill herself in 1 hit.

A Valk with maxed synergies is also capable of Soloing Hell cows if you can keep the packs down to about 10.

Some good pieces of advice for Valk users;

If you plan on keeping the Valk alive and not just constantl recasting her for fodder, you should cast her untill she has a Black weapon, this is possibl Cruel. Then test it to see if it has leach.

Also remember that the Armor colors hint at Magic types just like charcters armors. I tend to look for the blue ones, they tend to cast Frost nova.

Always lead with Decoy. They last a good bit and also get the Dodge and Evade passive skills. They cost nil to cast so always feel free to throw one up in front of your Valk to gather the main hoards then let the valk saunter to the feast. This should come natural to any Necro players!

ive always wanted to know a description to what the diff color armors mean, but ive never noticed the weapon color. ill have to take better notice from now on.
