How much of the $$ I give Blizzard goes to Activision?

My friend said any "profit", but what about Blizzard's stockholders? Are they all basically Activision stockholders now?

Essentially, will my $$ going to Activision basically be contingent on how many sales say D3:RoS makes? What about my WoW sub? etc etc

I guess your friend is right; what used to be Blizzard is now owned by Activision, so any profit generated by Blizzard titles will go to Activison.

Same deal with Bioware and EA (The Evil Ampire) :(

so basically, in a case like WoW, once the suit salaries, employee wages/benefits/housing, server upkeep, office upkeep, advertising, etc are all covered, whatever is left of the $70 odd million they make a month goes to Activision?

Or in D3:RoS's case, let's say the entire project cost $100m to produce, advertise, cover employee wages, etc. If they sell $150m worth of product, Activision sees $50m. If D3:RoS sells only $95m, then Activision sees nothing and whoever invested in the game (Activision suits? Stock holders? Blizzard suits?) loses $5m?

If anything it would be the other way round. It was Vivendi that bought up Activision and then changed the name of their game division, "Vivendi Games", to "Activision Blizzard" which is a holding company for both Activision and Blizzard. Most people probably get confused by the name but Activision and Blizzard are in somewhat of a similar position and will both no doubt lose some of their profits to the people that own "Activision Blizzard". Nothing new for Blizzard they have always been owned by someone ever since they were called Blizzard but they have just always had a lot of autonomy and still do.
